Oceanfront North Myrtle Beach condo, smaller complex

Located in the Crescent Beach section of North Myrtle Beach, Xanadu I offers guests a beautiful view of the beach! Xanadu D3 has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room with large flat screen TV, ocean views from the balcony, free parking for 2 cars, and free WIFI.

Master Bedroom has a King bed with new firm mattress, new bamboo flooring, large flat screen TV, a private restroom and oceanfront balcony access.
Second bedroom also features a King Bed with a new firm mattress, NEW bamboo flooring, 32" flat screen TV.
Third bedroom has 2 twin beds with new firm mattresses, flat screen TV, and attached restroom with tub/shower combination.

Owner provides Beach chairs and umbrella. Please bring back to condo after use, so the next guest may enjoy this amenity as well.

Xanadu I has a sparkling outdoor swimming pool and is just a short drive from the Main Street area where guests can shop at local boutiques, have dinner at several locally owned restaurants, and enjoy a small amusement park (open Memorial Day to Labor Day).

Southern Coast Vacations has a complete reservations staff that is well versed in all aspects of each of our rentals homes, and the surrounding areas. They work with you during the booking process, before your arrival for additional questions and information, and our staff is available to you 24/7. If at any time you are in need, we are able to assist!

Motorcycles and trailers are not permitted at Xanadu I.
Pets are not allowed in Xanadu I.
Do not store items in hall area out front of unit as this is a fire hazard.
Linen price is factored into final price of stay.
Please note that there are 7 steps in order to get to the elevator.

Although homes are often equipped with some non-perishable food items, such as sugar, coffee, and spices, we cannot guarantee they will be there. Guests are supplied with a starter set of paper products. Each rental will have 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom and 1 paper towel roll in the kitchen. Please come prepared with your own soaps or other needed toiletries such as dish detergent or laundry detergent. Please bring any blankets or towels you plan on using outside (pool or beach).

Guests should bring their own toiletries, we supply a starter set of toiletries. Per the linen package that is already included, we will provide 1 set of towels per guest and sheets for each bed. Most properties have a washer/dryer or a coin operated facility. Please bring any blankets or towels you plan on using outside (pool or beach).

Family Vacation 2022

The place is very nice. A little disappointed that one of the showers (in the kid's room) was not functional due to a leaky base (there was a note requesting it not be used). Overall, the place was clean and pretty much as it looks in the photos. The view from the balcony was splendid! Quick access to the beach was wonderful. Great vacation for us! Glad this rental was available.

Family vacation

This was the first vacation my children and their families have had together in 10 years. We had searched rentals for 3 full baths and bedrooms and found this one. Upon arrival to unit we find a sign on my bathroom shower door stating to not use shower due to a crack in the floor and it leaking which was written on a plumbers form as it listed the rates for the plumber. Within the first couple of hours of being at the rental, an area of plaster fell down off of the ceiling onto the coffee table and on the floor in the living room. The Afterhours emergency number for the property was contacted and within a short while I was contacted twice regarding my problems. They were nice and seemed to care about my problems and I was told I would be contacted on the following day between 11-3. Nobody ever called. The problems may be insignificant to them but when you spend close to 2500.00 for a week that says you’ll have certain accommodations and what you then are rented is not that, this says to me that the company is only out to make money and customer satisfaction and repeat business is not important to them. To make matters worse, one of the other shower doors was not working correctly and literally seemed to be coming off of the hinges. The other issue I had was the pickets in the balcony were seemingly not stable and some had a lot of movement in them and other vacationers with smaller children should not leave children unattended on the balcony as this also is a safety issue. We were never offered another place to stay nor any monetary compensation for the false advertisement of three full baths. Also the dishwasher detergent door was broken and care had to be used when running the dishwasher. I was sorry that the amount of money my children and I spent on the unit was not for something more accommodating.

Great location

This property was very convenient for the beach. Great ocean view! Enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the waves! This was our first visit to North Myrtle Beach and we enjoyed it. Nice family beach.

Would HIGHLY NOT recommend

OUTDATED! Furniture in living room so old and uncomfortable. The couch “moaned” when you sat on it. Kitchen table under glass appeared to not have been cleaned for years GROSS. The kitchen chair cushions appear to have never been cleaned. Had to force fridge door closed each time. Master bedroom furniture updated but everything else is from the 80’s. TV in living room had 5 lines of color running through screen and volume impossible to adjust. There was construction above us and it was causing popcorn ceiling to fall (we continued to clean this up every time they worked) and debris fell from master bath vent. Roaches. Absolutely loved the beach area and the location but will never rent unit this again. If you are looking at this rental I would Highly recommend looking for another rental. We travel to the area several times a year and this was by far our worst rental we have ever stayed.

Southern Coast Rentals ***

The Condo Xanadu 1 D3, was adequate. The team from Southern Coast Rentals however were fantastic. Specifically Monica, who helped to update us through COVID details in the community, she reached out with additional information that she though would be (and was) helpful to our family. While I do not see myself renting this unit again, I would quickly rent through Southern Coast again. We have been coming to NMB for 15+ years and know the area well, but had never stayed at Xanadu 1 before. That being said, unit is definitely ready for updating, but access to the beach was good, only 16 units in the complex, so the beach area was not crowded. Bathrooms were small, balcony furniture was old and rusty, air conditioners leaked condensation, freezer had no ice maker. Walkable distance to parasailing, banana boats and our favorite restaurant Molly Darcy's. Close to grocery stores, mini-golf, surf shops and all the amenities you need for a family vacation.
