My initial concerns were confirmed when a security guard had to accompany us to the 9th floor to check our room before we entered because of the consistent problem this hotel has with homeless individuals scaling the balconies and breaking into the rooms to “just sleep” — the staff seemed completely unconcerned with this. In fact, told me that if I decided to leave and find another room in Myrtle Beach, I’d experience the same issue everywhere. This is simply untrue and unsafe. Their 20 year old security guard who carries nothing more than a $3 flashlight as protection, did not make me feel safer. I did not sleep a minute during my stay. Afraid of someone getting into my room because it is not secure. Not at all. The rooms and hallways are disgusting, smell, and look like a run down homeless shelter. Stay away from this property.
