Summary: This beautiful 4 BR/3 BA true oceanfront home, is perfect for large groups of multiple families and/or friends looking to stay somewhere private, spacious, and conveniently located amidst countless popular restaurants, amusements, and local hotspots. With its own private walkway onto the beautiful sands of the beach, guests will be left wishing they could stay forever. \-Just ONE mile from the pier \-Walking distance to popular amusements and restaurants \-10 minute drive to Marsh Walk The space: Our 4 BR/3BA oceanfront home, ‘Hugo’s Revenge’, is ideal for large groups of 10-12 guests and is conveniently located in the heart of Garden City Beach, just 1 mile from the pier. The house is all one level on stilts and provides both privacy and ample space. Throughout your stay here, guests will enjoy waking up every morning to the sun streaming in through the windows, feeling the gentle ocean breeze while relaxing out on the spacious covered porch, and falling asleep to the soothing sound of the crashing waves. The property features… A Spacious Covered Porch, Sundeck, and Private Walkway. The large covered porch looks out over the ocean and features a full hammock, rocking chairs, a pub table with chairs, and outdoor sofas making it an ideal spot to enjoy sunrises, gorgeous ocean views, and beach breezes with family and friends. Down a few short steps is the sundeck area with 2 lounge chairs. Being a true oceanfront property, guests need only walk a few more steps down the private walkway for direct access to the beach. Just off the sundeck on the ground level is a charcoal grill for guests’ use. 4 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms. The 1st bedroom, located on the street-side of the home, features a single/double bunk bed, an additional double bed, a bedside table and lamp, a tall wooden dresser, closet, a TV atop set drawers, a ceiling fan, and an ensuite bathroom with a full bathtub/shower. Down the hall on the opposite side of the house is the 2nd (streetside) bedroom which connects to the 3rd bedroom through the adjoining bathroom. Both the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms feature 2 double beds with a bedside table and lamp in between, a dresser with a mirror, closets, ceiling fans, TVs, and access to the adjoining bathroom. The bathroom has a full bathtub/shower, medicine cabinet, and vanity. The 4th (master) bedroom, boasts beautiful ocean views and direct access to the covered porch. This bedroom features a plush king-sized bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps, a dresser with a mirror, a ceiling fan, an entertainment console with a TV, a large walk-in closet, and an ensuite master bathroom. The master bathroom was recently renovated with a “step-in” tub/shower with whirlpool jets and a rain showerhead. This makes for a relaxing and soothing soak after a long day out on the beach. A Fully-Equipped Kitchen with Dining. The kitchen and dining area’s bright, open layout makes spending quality time with one another effortless. The kitchen comes fully equipped with new appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, oven and stovetop, disposal, coffee maker, and microwave. Here you will also find plenty of counter space and cabinet storage as well as dishes, glassware, utensils, and basic cookware. There is also a utility closet housing a stacked washer/dryer and various cleaning supplies. The dining area is open to the kitchen and features a large solid-wood dining table surrounded by dining chairs. With enough seating for 10-12, guests can look forward to making memories over a home-cooked meal. A Spacious Living Room. Open to the kitchen and dining area, the living room features a large sectional with recliners, a matching club chair, a coffee table, a fireplace, and a large flat-screen TV atop a console table. The unit was very clean upon arrival. The primary bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to look at the view from the large sectional in the living room. The deck was also very enjoyable when the weather cooperated. However, this home has several maintenance issues particularly in the bathrooms that need to be addressed. We will forward the specifics to the owners as I do think with a small amount of effort they can be rectified easily. We ended up with half of our group not being able to join us, so with just the 2 of us we were able to work around them and still had a decent time but if the house had been full it would have been much more of a challenge. I do not think the kitchen is particularly well stocked for a large group (only 2 large coffee cups) the rest were plastic and very small and not a ton of bowls, cups, etc. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to eat in a lot. We were visiting in-laws so again were able to work around kitchen limitations as we had a 2nd place to eat and prepare food. If the maintenance issues could be addressed we would definitely consider renting the property again. ##### Kevin H. The house had everything we needed to have a great stay. We were able to sit on the sectional sofa and watch the sunrise every morning. The house is surrounded on three sides with lush horticulture making the views both beautiful and private. Sitting on the deck you can imagine you are on remote beach. The beds were very comfortable. All we had to do was walk from the porch down to the beach. It was so convenient as far as going back to the house if you needed to. We loved the family room -enough for all 10 of us! Being right on the beach was terrific....30 seconds from bed to beach. The location on the beach was also great. It wasn't crowded, but it was less than a mile's walk on the beach from the house to the boardwalk. The home was just the right size for us, and it was well appointed. The covered back porch was particularly nice. We used it a lot, from eating, to relaxing, to card playing on the big table. We would definitely go back! ##### Mark H. It was expensive and a big investment in a vacation. Murrells Inlet does not disappoint and the beach is amazing. The house, well.... not so much. Overall the facilities are just not up to snuff even for a beach house where you allow some latitude. Bathrooms need renovations,(tubs are not attractive or appear really clean and the moldings are all chipped and swollen); some of the full-size mattresses are terrible, kitchen pots and pans scorched, missing silverware, insufficient coffee cups, the dining room table so tight on the couch you have to re-arrange the furniture to get by and we are not large people. The outdoor grill has not been properly cleaned (drip pan 3" deep with fat and scrapings) so when grilling, you end up with a bon-fire. 3 rusty beach chairs and 2 plastic strap lounges for a 4 bedroom house is unacceptable as was the dross and garbage bits left in the parking area under the house. We watched the cleaning lady leave at 4 pm without addressing some basic tidying up on the property. Fridge ice dispenser is broken and as one other customer noted, on hot days, the A/C cannot keep up (and we had all the sliders and windows closed). Air return duct and ceiling fans are dirty. If you are neat freak like our family, these things are noticed. What did we love?? The beach access and size of the kitchen. Clean towels and blankets/pillows a-plenty and the washer/drier combo was clutch. Would I go back for the price? No. ##### pia M. The back porch is phenomenal \~ truly the best feature of this home! We didn’t have any contact with the host/property manager because we didn’t need to. Upon arrival things were as advertised. Kitchen, while very large and functional, is cluttered and somewhat unorganized. That made for a challenge storing the provisions we’d brought. As has been mentioned previously, the house could use a deep cleaning. Dusty fans, floorboards and windowsills. The threshold from the kitchen to the laundry room is detached, should be re-secured. Great to have the washer and dryer but there is mold on the seal of the dryer door … gross. The master bedroom bed was terribly uncomfortable. I’d replace it if I owned the property. There are 2 “bag chair” beach chairs, which we knew in advance of arrival and we brought extras along with beach towels that are not provided \~ just FYI. Final thought … we’d rent it again without hesitation (if the master bed has been replaced)!!! ##### Suzanne G.
