Well located

The hotel was located near everything especially the college. For the price is was satisfactory - continental breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

Visiting family member

I make this trip about once a month, and usually select Lee's Inn when it is available. The location is good, and the rooms are quite adequate. However, the main reason I like it is the breakfasts. They are really good.

Easy acess to Ball Hospital

Close to my destination of Ball Hospital where my very ill sister was a patient. Our King room had been updated in all but pillows--hard. Sitting area was a new sectional with coffee table. The large size of the room was a welcome improvement over crowded rooms in newer hotels. Heating/cooling unit was not easily adjusted, if at all, but we slept well. Bathroom cold. Weekday breakfast had good variety. Very pleasant and large breakfast room.

Nice Hotel for the price!

Everthing was kept up well, even the pool and rooms were clean. Just need to work on updating the outside...looks kinda creepy and pool looks like an old church from outside. But i would definately stay again!

Great price

For the price I thought it was great! My only complaint would be the pillows...they were horrible! The mattress wasn't great but it was tolerable. The breakfast was decent. We would definitely stay again

Inexpensive, close to campus, but needs updates

Entry door glass/windows need good cleaning; carpets throughout need replaced (dirty). A/C in room didn't work very well.

Close to BSU...the only perk.

We have stayed at this hotel before and knew that it was not the best, but not too bad for the price. This last time we stayed the staff was somewhat friendly, but nothing to brag about. The lock on our door did not work and we found a bed bug. We only found one and searched the mattresses, but found no evidence of others. Now we are worried about if we brought anything home with us.

Odor

The overall hotel was really not horrible. It was the smoke smell. I could tell in the lobby they had used some type of "cover up" to mask the smell of the smoke. But when we walked into our NON smoking room, it was horrible with smoke odor. Luckily we had our own room fresheners to make it some what better.

The price was right

Hotel was actually a little better than expected for the inexpensive price. The room was clean. Towels were very small and old but clean. There was no one at the desk when we arrived and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to show up aftering calling on the desk phone 3 times. We arrived around before 10p. The pool is very small but clean but there were no towels to use and it closed at 10p even though it's swim at your own risk. The hot tub was old but had some strength and seemed clean. If the front desk person had been better and towels were better I would have rated it better.

We completely enjoyed our stay! I was a bit nervous, because the reviews I read were so mixed. Yes, there were signs of wear, but it was all acceptable to me. If you are a hotel snob that expects everything to surpass a white glove test, then no this isn't the hotel for you. If you want a comfortable hotel at a good price, and are willing to overlook a few minor details, this is your place! GREAT breakfast included in the price, comfortable beds, a beautiful pool area, and very friendly & helpful staff! Can't give enough praise to the staff- the front desk girl even got us extra pillows when we asked.

This hotel used to be much better from 2007-2009.

This place used to be so great back in 20078-2010. I don't know why it went downhill, but the breakfasts no longer offer warm meals on the weekends (which is the main reason I stayed here in the past) and the rooms have a strange smell now. I wish they would try and get back what they used to have and the girl who serves breakfast (your first view of a person in the am) doesn't smile or greet you in any way. She seems to hate her job. Disappointing experience.

BSU Football

We just stayed over night after a BSU Football game. Was looking for a reasonably priced room and this fit the bill. The room was dated. The wallpaper was coming off and the bathroom had rust stains in the tub and sink but the room was clean. For the price it served the purpose for an overnight stay.

The accomodation was note up to expectation.

The room smelled musty when entered. Side panel of the box spring was separated from the top cover and stuffing was falling onto the floor. Wall covering was opening at some seams. Toilet drain plugged twice during a three day stay. Staff were pleasant and did their best, but this fascilty is obviously in need of upgrading..

Needs Updating

This was apparently a nice hotel in 1986, but its had minimal maintenance and no obvious updating. Carpeting is old and stained. Bedding was OK, the TV was old and marginally functional. Room cleanliness was average but in need of deep cleaning. The hot breakfast was not appealing.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past...NEVER again...the room smelled so bad of mold that when I went to the desk they gave me a can of air freshener..that's it..the hotel has really gone down in the last year, It is really falling apart.

The hotel is old and needs renovations. My room was clean, but it smelled like smoke and even Lysol didn't take the smoke smell away and my clothes smelled like smoke when we got home. The comforter on my bed had holes in it. For a one night stay it was ok. The breakfast was good.

The room was adequate,pool area clean, warm. Pool clean and water comfortable. Hot tub toasty n clean, breakfast was good in a.m. except coffee watered down to my taste. No problems, close to restaurants and stores
