"I just had the worst weekend at this place. While some staff were very kind and helpful, the manager of this hotel is a very rude man that doesn't know how to treat customers and lies about the amenities offered by the hotel. The air-conditioning stopped working on our second night. The manager knew it had a problem but still kept us in this room. My biggest nightmare was the parking. As everyone can see it says it has parking and that is free, however, besides to be a very hard place to reach...

"Smyrna Pansiyon feels like a home away from home! A big thanks to Sonya for making us feel so welcome and taking care of every little detail. She provided plenty of information and suggestions for exploring the area, which made our stay even better. "The staff was extremely helpful. The manager Shiran assisted me in figuring out how public tranportation operates. Chezi actually walked me to the bus station with my heavy suitcase. Anastasia did everything she could to make my stay better. And Sami, the Eritrean man, was wonderful. But the rooms were VERY DARK.I could hardly see anything in the first room I was given on the dark side of the hotel. I was given another room which was light during the day. But thete was still not enough light at night. The coffee was fine but there should be.croissants or something better than cookies. This hotel needs to fix the horrible darkrooms IMMEDIATELY."

"This location was nothing if not the perfect vacation spot for exploring Dubai and the mall! There were a ton of food options both in and around the hotel. The pool was relaxing and all staff went above and beyond what I expected. This is the height of service and comfort wrapped into the perfect location. This will be my go-to spot from now on!"

"Excellent stay in the heart of Hamra. Great area with many restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Breakfast buffet was ok. Not so great. Overall a nice hotel in a great area of Beirut. I would return."
