It rests on @200 acres with an amazing view of the Monzano Mountains! Just 75 minutes southeast of Albuquerque, it offers easy access to the impressive Salinas Mission Ruins, the Cibola National Forest, and the quaint town of Mountainair. WE continue to upgrade the property by adding amenities such as genuine cowhide rugs and a small herb garden. The brilliant blue skies, fragrant air, and stunning 360-degree views clearly showcase the best of New Mexico. She was so gracious!The Casita was very clean & had everything you needed except your own food! We did get to see one of the milking cows on our way out one morning & fed Rio one of the horses an apple. There are trains that run to the south of the property, but my brother and I didn’t feel that was bothersome. It is a sweet Casita tucked away on the hillside & we would recommend the experience to anyone. We hope to return in a couple of years & hope to stay there again. Deborah and Charles were very responsive to all our needs. The only difficulty was consistent internet. The vistas are beautiful and furnishings are clean and comfortable. Well appointed kitchen. There are trains that go past but they weren’t an issue at all and I am a light sleeper The kitchen is fully stocked. The owners take great care in seeing to their guest's comfort. Everything you might need for a pleasant stay is here. Just be aware that there are trains that pass through the property, and while they don't blow their horns, there is a rumbling sound. The night we spent there, trains rumbled through about every 20 minutes... all night long. Sorry to say, but my husband is very sensitive to loud or frequent noises, especially at night, and I missed the mention of the train in the host's overview of the property. If this is not a problem for you, this is an awesome place to stay. ##### Jeri P. The two bedroom house was absolutely spotless and everything worked perfectly. Check in was simple. The landlord sent me texts in the evening reminding me to let her know if we needed anything but she was not in the least intrusive. The location was stunning- the scenery was unbelievable and hiking the property was easy- simply walk out the front door. The property is pretty isolated and our only neighbors were cows, lizards and other animals. Cell phones worked adequately at the property but not at the gate in front of the property (perhaps because the property is at a significantly higher elevation. Kitchen was decently stocked with kitchenware, etc. Internet worked with no issues the entire time we were there but it is pretty slow. I plan to return when I have more time but for this stay I have nothing but good things to say about the property and the host. ##### Harry P. The sunsets viewed from the back patio were stunning. The kitchen was well laid out and had all the tools necessary to prepare nice meals.
