There is a great swimming hole to relax in or you can sit by the river, or just sit on the porch because it is right in the back yard. This is a perfect location if you are interested in river rafting (Chattooga River rafting is nearby), if you enjoy hiking, fishing or just enjoy the outdoors this is the place for you. We are close to Clemson, Cashiers NC, Highlands NC and Clayton GA and Chattooga Belle Farms. Hope to host you soon!! If you are traveling by plane I offer other services for your convenience. Kay was very quick to communicate and very accommodating. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. I especially appreciated all the extra toiletries and coffee provided. Mountain Rest is a quiet little town with beautiful scenery, waterfalls, hiking trails, and scenic rivers. Boar Hogs place was just what we wanted. A little privacy and a beautiful river to play in. Highlights were fishing in the river with very good success around 8pm, grilling burgers, and sitting by the fire pit. We also enjoyed playing Jumangi on the back porch while hearing the river. We drove down to Wahalla and enjoyed coffee and local made chocolate chip banana bread pudding at Gather Uptown. We also visited the Chattooga River Fly Shop and picked up a few Father's day gifts and had great conversation.
