The entry area had a strong unpleasant odor, and it remained throughout our stay. The downstairs bedroom beds appeared quickly made with the sheets and quilt/blankets thrown on rather than being tucked in. We were disappointed to find the closets locked and the large bureau filled with bedding. We were going to be there for 8 nights and had no place to hang our clothes, so we had to live out of our suitcases. We arrived with temperature in the 80's and had a frost midweek and we brought extra clothes for the temperature swing. We found blankets and towels in the dryer not fully dried and had fuzz over an inch thick on the filter. The preparations appeared to be hastily done.On the positive side, the area is very nice and quiet. There was more activity on the weekend but still quite nice. The people in the area are very friendly. The shops and stores were unique and interesting. The food was great wherever we ate. We especially like the Weatherwood Supper Club which was excellent. ##### Dennis D. We were looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind, bike, and just relax before our wedding this September. Natalie is a super host. I had a couple questions and she responded immediately. She had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. What a nice surprise. Her cottage is on a dead end road which made it super quiet. It had everything we needed plus items like games that we played a couple nights. We grilled and sat on the deck several nights overlooking the water. The views were spectacular. We biked around the area and took in the sights and sounds. Our stay was 3 nights and went way too fast. Thanks Natalie for a fantastic birthday and pre wedding trip.
