I did the pre-check-in the night before. All was confirmed. When I arrived at the hotel today, no one was around. A person came and told us the hotel was closed and would not be open for a few weeks. I called Expedia, and they would not refund my payment until they could confirm the closure. They of course could not get a hold of anyone at the hotel, because it was closed. Incredibly overpriced for the service & shape of the property. Pool was closed, but there was no mention of that ahead of time. Nobody was ever at the front desk to assist with anything, it would take multiple calls to get someone or you’d just have to go looking since the phone wasn’t answered. It says free parking on the website, but that is ONLY for the night of your stay, nowhere did it say that you’d be charged parking while gone for your trip. The shuttle is NOT 24/7\. Our flight was delayed & I requested a shuttle at noon, but was told they wouldn’t take us after 11am (checkout time) so we had to park at the airport instead. Before leaving I requested a refund for the parking charges that were charged at check in since we wouldn’t be leaving our car anymore & was told I’d be refunded & they wouldn’t give me a receipt after asking multiple times. I was still charged for parking even though we didn’t park there!!! The waffle batter dispenser was broken & even after spraying the waffle maker they stuck & had to be scraped out in pieces & to top that off the waffle maker fell down while doing so & burned hand. The whole experience was unpleasant & I will NEVER stay here again, the close proximity to the airport isn’t worth it!!! Major renovations happening to the hotel - condition was overall a mess. Multiple rooms had no air conditioning working, our room had no shower curtain and the tub drain was badly clogged. Drains around the pool area were clogged as well. Outside doors were left unlocked all night - no key required for entering the building late at night. The windows were covered with plastic on most of the building. Half the parking lot inaccessible. The room we were in was DAMP! The bathroom had mold and mildew (even with fresh paint) and the shower curtain was almost half covered with the same. We honestly had difficulty sleeping because the sheets and our clothes were damp. Window didn’t lock on first floor room. The building is being updated , but whoever is doing the work is doing a terrible job. New tv still had plastic film on it and remote wasn’t synced. Paint splatters everywhere. The paint job outside looks absolutely terrible…if this is an ‘upgrade’, I’d hate to see what it looked like before! Water hookup was backwards (hot with cold, cold with hot). Everything just seemed gross.
