"Our stay was convenient for us having our dog. Room was fairly clean for the dated furniture & bathroom at the hotel. Bed was not to comfortable. Check in & out was ok even though not on site. Location was convenient to historical sites & restaurants. "

"Our stay was perfect! Leading up to the trip, Chris was amazing with communication. He answered all our questions and emailed us a Welcomed Book before our arrival, which ensured our check in & stay were seamless. The house was clean and well laid out! The huge porches on this house are what make it! We sat on the front porch & ate meals with the sound of the ocean in the background. The breeze from the porches was fantastic. This was our first stay on Harkers Island and we can’t wait to come back and stay at The Hoi Toider again! While we were there, we spent time in Beaufort & Morehead City. We’d booked an off shore charter out of Atlantic Beach, that’s what brought us to the area this time- the property was convenient to all of these locations. The beach on the sound at Harker’s Island is adorable and perfect for small kids since there are no big waves!!Perfect getaway! We feel lucky to have found this property!"

"Small, cute cottage in a very quiet location. Many people just pass through Harker's Island to take the ferry to Cape Lookout, but it's lovely as a destination if you want tranquility and quiet relaxation.There was a problem with the check-in: house wasn't cleaned or accessible when we arrived a couple of hours after check-in time. However, the host immediately responded to our texts and very quickly made everything right.Very nice stay - we especially loved the Seaside Galley, a hidden gem of a "gas station restaurant" that serves absolutely delicious seafood, and the beautiful Sound Side Trail at the Visitor's Center (where you take the ferry). We'd love to return to the island and this property."
