We were next to the stream and rain forest, on top of a hill. All natural, bugs and all. The house has everything you’d need though - modern appliance and supplies. They’re on a septic system so hot water might be issue temporarily. Just call the host. The windows don’t have screens, so I had to keep them closed the whole time. This was the perfect house for our stay in Monteverde! It's literally a 2-minute drive to Curi-Cancha Reserve, which is where we wanted to explore the cloud forest with an excellent guide. The house has been wonderfully updated with modern amenities and it's just slightly down the road from the hustle and bustle of the town. Daniela was very communicative and offered to book tours (we had a rec for a local guide we used instead). The host also left a yummy loaf of banana bread for us! Too bad we only had a one-night stay and we'll definitely book this property again the next time we're in the area. Do NOT pass up this house, especially if you have a larger group! It was super comfy for 6 adults and 1 teen. Thanks for making our stay memorable! ##### Kaira T.
