The perfect Monterey Bay vacation home

Tastefully decorated, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with peeks of the bay ready for a relaxing getaway. Newly renovated space combines comfort, privacy, and all the features for an easy weekend/week rental.
Perfect for events. Centrally located near Monterey Fairgrounds (10 min), Laguna Seca Raceway (10 min), and beach (5 min). Fisherman's Wharf (15 min), Pebble Beach (20 min), and downtown Carmel (20 min) in easy reach.
Plenty of seating in the beach-style living room, with French doors opening onto raised patio. Private backyard also features a second patio with BBQ.
Master bedroom equipped with king bed, closet, private bathroom includes double sink and shower. Second big bedroom features queen size bed, additional seating, and closet. Third bedroom hosts two single beds and closet.
Dining table and separate breakfast nook offer options for formal and informal meal times.
Modern kitchen fully remodeled with granite countertops and new appliances. Ample storage.
Washing machine and dryer on premises.
Free off-street parking, with gated driveway. Free on-street parking also available.

Rooms were clean, the kitchen was spacious, and all utensils were clean. The location did not give a vacation feel as I had expected. The queen beds were comfortable, and the twin beds were not comfortable. The access to the house was good. Overall, I would rate 3.5 stars based on amenities, location, and most importantly, price

Lovely home

Lovely home with a few hiccups. There is a lockbox instead of a key entry which was harder for our family to split up. There also isn't any air conditioning and we were there in August. The owner did purchase a fan for us. Most of the year this wouldn't be an issue. Home was great with a great outdoor space.

Enjoyable stay

This was our first trip to the Monterey area and we really liked the location of this property. It met all of our needs as far as three bedrooms, a full kitchen and washer/dryer. I had reached out the property manager prior to our trip to ask a question and didn't get a response, which is why I gave 4 stars on that. All other communication with him was great. I also gave 4 stars on cleanliness because my two year old found items and dust/dirt under the couch and bed.

"Ernie's Place" was very comfortable, very clean, and fully equipped. We were there for three nights and enjoyed the plentiful bedroom storage, the kitchen facilities, and especially, after several days on the road, the laundry. Also, the Wi-Fi is excellent; we were able to stream the IndyCar race on our Roku stick with no problems. I also appreciated the off-street parking. We would definitely stay here again.

Creating a Family Experience

Loved the location of the home. Plenty of room for our group of 5. Convenient to stores, freeways and sights. Well supplied with everything we needed. Liked that we could park inside the gate. Would recommend staying there.again.

The home had been nicely updated, and had a great amount of usable space. It was very comfortable. While we didnt spend a lot of time at the house, it would be very easy to enjoy a relaxing evening at the home for dinner or a game night.Good proximity to local activities and downtown Monterey/Cannery Row!Would absolutely book here again next time we're in town.

Great stay

This house waa perfect for our family because of: location to various things in Seaside, Monterrey amd for walking to get exercise or to little shops. The house wad clean and the host was responsive via the VRBO app. We had enough kitchen supplies and I appreciated the ability to do laundry. The beds were comfortable and we all rested well. There were some light bulbs out but this was not a big deal for us. We would stay again!

Great space & location

We returned to this home because it's a lovely space and a great location. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, serving dishes and utensils so we had a good time cooking for family. There's a patio to eat outdoors and the neighborhood is quiet.

Great family rental near Monterey

My family (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. Very nice rental, close to Monterey and great beaches. The place was clean and check in was super easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Misleading Location – Not as Close to the Beach as It Looks

The home was comfortable and had everything our family needed—we didn’t mind that the interior wasn’t very updated. However, the location was a letdown. It’s about 16 minutes from the nearest beach, even though the listing photo makes it look much closer. Because of that, we’ve decided we wouldn’t stay here again.
