Casanova dei Boschi is located in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The late 18th century Podere has retained its original stone structure and enjoys a panoramic position towards Monticchiello and Pienza. The splendid Montepulciano is only 4 km away.
You will feel like going back in time: the farmhouse is immersed in the woods, an ideal place for a relaxing holiday. But also of culture thanks to the proximity of famous centers all over the world: Montalcino, Cortona, Bagno Vignoni, Rapolano, San Casciano. A place full of charm and history that you will carry in your memories forever.

In Casanova dei Boschi, guests can take advantage of 3 large double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, three bathrooms, three living rooms, three fireplaces, an ancient internal oven and a vast land with orchard and olive grove.

Country Life = some bugs and critters
It was a bit large for us of a family of three, but Franco the greeter was super sweet. The screens on the windows were great to let fresh air in. They were generous to supply paper towels and plenty of toilet paper. Very old rustic. Bathrooms pretty clean. AC units good too.Main issue was multiple entries, one which wasn't super secure as we were victims of thieves. Very isolated so you get a false sense of security. Everything was tossed out of our bags, as they were looking for money, but grabbed some personal items as a consolation prize. Franco came out right away & was sincere. He tried to make up for it the best he could and then secured the door with the extra wood doors. This property is best for larger families that need room. Beautiful surroundings and grounds and pretty comfortable beds. Could use new sheets as some had stains on them. Internet was iffy - good in the beginning and then would drop signal. Thank you Franco and thank you to your brother for translating.

Our unforgettable Tuscany exprience!!
We recently stayed at this beautifully renovated house in Tuscany, and it was an unforgettable experience. We were welcomed with a personal letter from the incredibly hospitable owners, who have clearly made this place a true home away from home. The house is stunning, blending style and comfort. The kitchen is fully stocked, making cooking a pleasure, and the outdoor BBQ area has everything needed for a great meal under the Tuscan sun. The pool is a dream, with breathtaking views of the rolling hills. The owners have thoughtfully provided loungers, sun shades, and even pool toys for a relaxing day by the water. What sets this property apart is the warmth and generosity of the owners. They’ve created a space that feels luxurious yet welcoming, where every detail reflects their desire for guests to fully enjoy their stay. This house is more than just a place to stay – it’s a sanctuary where you can relax and recharge. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return to this slice of paradise, hosted by the most wonderful couple.

The Most Beautiful Place
This property is stunning. The 1700s-era farmhouse is charming and updated so comfortably! The kitchen is equipped with any tools/appliances you could need, the bedrooms are cozy and the bathrooms are spotless and updated. There are several spacious living areas, too, inside. But you will want to spend all your time sitting on a lounge chair or at the patio table because the view (360 degrees!) is indescribable. The views of Tuscany are spectacular and something out of a storybook! Communication with owner and property manager was prompt and courteous. They both were so helpful! Owner even responded quickly on the weekend before our arrival to help us rent a car last minute. (Car is necessary; it is mentioned in the listing but I missed it!) Highly recommend— dreaming of returning!

The farm house was everything we had hoped for in our visit to Tuscany. The house has most everything you need except hair shampoo. The kitchen has All the amenities you could possibly need. The views from the house are breathtaking, especially the sunsets.

Beautiful Country House
We had a wonderful time at the house. It was far from the beaten path, but close to Montepulciano. Everything was as expected—the rooms, the decor, and the magnificent views from the back yard (bring bug spray). We were able to get a chef to cook a special family dinner.

Everything about our stay here was exemplary and every person we interacted with - the host, the property manager and his brother, the woman who facilitated our in-home cooking class and meal - was helpful, kind, and generous of spirit. The home is beautiful and well appointed and the grounds are stunning! From the farmhouse, we were able to make day trips by car into Montepulciano, Pienza and Sienna with ease. We wholeheartedly recommend experiencing this amazing home and the incredible history and beauty of Tuscany.

Lovely getaway in peaceful location
The property has beautiful views and a peaceful, remote location. It is well equipped for cooking meals and they conveniently provide a starter supply of necessities (kitchen spices, hand soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, etc.). The property owner, as well as the local property manager, were both very responsive to our questions and the check in and out processes are simple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Marvellous experience at this Montepulciano Villa!
My son and I had a wonderful stay at this property in March. The villa was really well equipped, with all amenities, and had a huge amount of land around it. Everything was really well cleaned. The sheets were comfortable and pristine. We appreciated the large white towels and extra blankets. The heaters worked really well as did the chimney. The views were superb and we were surprised with wildlife including the deers. Franco guided us well and was a pleasure. He pointed us to great experiences like going to Unesco World Heritage Site Pienza. The villa itself was a gem!

We enjoyed staying in “the castle,” as we commonly referred to Casanova Del Bisho. The property was lovely and very unique. We enjoyed local restaurants and wine tasting in Montepulciano and Siena.

Wonderful place to stay. Franco was very prompt and welcoming. The house is enormous, spacious. There are at least six different places where one could have breakfast or dinner. The views spectacular. Quiet, secluded, romantic. The big kitchen is FULLY stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Want to go back for a longer stay.

We felt like royalty! This villa will make you feel like you are living in a fairytale! Everything about this property is magical. The location is like something out of a postcard. Wonderful historic farm house
The home was excellent all around. An historic property with all the charms and quirks that come with that. Beautiful, comfortable common spaces, 4 separate bedrooms, a decent kitchen to prepare meals, and a location that is an ideal hub to explore Tuscany. It was too cold while we were there, but the outside space would be amazing in the warmer months. Our family of 5 greatly enjoyed everything about the place. Low ceilings, lack of hot water, wonky wifi, etc but all part of the experience of staying in a 300 yr old home. The host is a proud and gracious owner of the property, and was good about helping get us to the remote location initially, and was responsive to queries leading up to our stay. Loved the place and we'd gladly stay there again.

Our time in Toscano
I highly recommend this little gem in the Tuscan hills. It is located minutes from Montepulciano and about 15 minutes from Pienza. The home is very private with so much character. We had a party of seven and we loved the space. I highly recommend engaging Elisabeth for an in home meal. She is an amazing person and chef who prepared a gourmet meal for our entire party. It was so incredibly delicious and so reasonably priced! The house is appointed with 3 masonry fireplaces; we loved drinking wine and enjoying a fire in the evenings. Lastly, Franco, the property manager is a wonderful and delightful person to deal with. You will love your stay!

Our group of 3 couples enjoyed a week at Casanova deli Boschi. The property was fantastic - more sitting/eating areas than we were able to enjoy. Our favorite was the outdoor seating area where you can view the lights of the surrounding hill towns. Filipino was extremely helpful with ideas and recommendations; the property manager, Franco, was very helpful throughout our stay. Our only regret was not having more time at the property itself; ideally located for day trips throughout the area; note 2 Michelin restaurants in the area - La Grotta in Montepulciano and Daria’s in Monticchiello.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo casale per quattro giorni. E' stata una esperienza magnifica !!! Il casale è molto bello, confortevolissimo e corrisponde perfettamente alle fotografie. Si trova in area rurale e tranquilla ed è dotato di ogni comfort (di qualsiasi cosa abbiate bisogno la troverete in casa) inoltre ha un bellissimo patio con uliveto antistante alla proprietà.
