Sit in the hot tub and enjoy the stars, enjoy a fire in the fire pit. We are on a gravel road that runs along the North Fork of the Tye River, in the middle of the George Washington National Forest. There you can find solitude among native plantings, tall trees, and the porches overlooking mountains and woods. You'll find the kitchen amply provisioned whether you want to grill, smoke or microwave. From our front door you can walk along the trout-stocked river or you can venture out to locals-only hikes, 250 year old operating orchards/berry farms, Crabtree Falls, the Appalachian Trail, and Blue Ridge Parkway. All are within several miles, and it is 30 minutes to the 151 trail of wineries, cideries, and breweries, as well as Wintergreen. The cabin features a hot tub, a fire pit, outdoor shower and has two bedrooms, each with a with queen bed. New for 2023, high speed internet. Everything other reviews stated are accurate. The interior design of the place is pure art makes you feel relaxed. The roads getting to the mountains cabin are twisty and takes a bit of time getting to nearby places so we planned accordingly. But that’s why the place is perfect get away. The cabin is very comfortable and has everything you might need. We loved hearing the sound of the river while we slept with the window open and enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning. The hot tub was perfect along with this quaint cabin nestled in the mountains. We were able to walk along the road and at night windows open to hear the creek running. Several books in the mini library to read but also WiFi and TV for those who still want to stay plugged in. We grilled steaks and sat on the porch and just enjoyed the sounds of nature! I recommend the drive to Gertie’s for breakfast! Great food and friendly people! It’s small but worth it! We will definitely be back to this cabin! We loved our stay! ##### Shannon J.
