It's not in Montalcino, but a short drive to it. We stayed here because we were visiting a few wineries close by. When staying in a small Tuscan town, it's best to look for a place like this that's right on the edge. You don't want to (and sometimes can't!) drive into the old part of the towns. We were able to park along the street about 100 yards away. The walk was steeply uphill, but not long at all. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, very comfortable for 2-3 people. It was well laid out and provided all the amenities we needed. The bed in the main room is ok. The frame is a bit springy and the mattress a bit soft. I like a firm to medium-firm mattress with a lot of support. This one was reasonably comfortable, but not super high end like a hotel. The town itself is peaceful and quiet, but we stayed on a Friday night and there was a party happening down the street. The music was very loud between 11pm-1:30am, which was terrible. But it was probably a one-time thing. The hosts were very apologetic and promised to address the noise complaint with the perpetrators. The hosts were very good to work with. ##### Seb G.
