The lovely living areas and excellent location make it the perfect choice for a family get away or get together with friends. This beautifully refurbished cottage retains traditional character but also includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home. The property is pet-friendly so the whole family can join you on holiday! As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. Other reviews had said how small it was but we felt it was advertised as being small and for 2 adults and a Labrador it was more than adequate. The location was ideal, allowing us to visit everything we had planned with no problems. The owner was lovely and happy to accommodate us if there was anything we needed. We ate in the Lion Inn pub attached every night and the staff and locals were friendly and the food was exceptional. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would definitely come back again ourselves. The only thing for some people is that there is no phone signal at all, for us that was perfect! Whilst not big enough perhaps for an extended stay, you have all you need for a few nights break in the glorious countryside around. The special bit however is the pub next door. The food is first class with some great options. We invited close relatives to join us for a meal and they were particularly impressed by the attention and service given to one of the party with a dietary issue. The chef cooked specially for her - brilliant. No review of the Lion Inn would be complete without tribute to Debbie - a fantastic warm welcome, seeking us out at our table on the first night to make sure we had all we needed for a great stay.
