Located in the private and gated Emerald Shores subdivision, just 4 miles from the Destin Commons, this quaint and private neighborhood is perfect for families and all looking for a relaxing time away from home. An 8 minute walk away from Summer Retreat you will find gated beach access with private pavilion for use of Emerald Shores guests ONLY. It provides restrooms, picnic tables, wagon parking ,and a Tiki Bar, open during the summer season. You will be within walking distance to Pompano Joes, Captain Daves and Kenny Ds Restaurants. Complementary tram in season (may 31-Aug 1) to transport you and your beach items to the beach access gate. This home also includes Free Beach Service ( 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for your use) as well as a beach cart and beach toys. 2 large pools (one heated) are also available for your use with our home. The best of both worlds- Beach and Pool! The neighborhood also has a tennis court and basketball court for you use. Centrally located with nearby access to restaurants, outlet shopping, golf, fishing, sightseeing, boating, windsurfing and shelling. Our spacious home offers sleeping for up to 8 Guests! A large master bedroom with King bed, TV and private access to patio. Private bathroom with New luxurious shower and spacious closet. 2nd Bedroom with King size bed, closet and TV. 3rd bedroom with Queen size bed with TV and closet. There is also a Bunk Room (2 Twins) off of the Living area perfect for younger adults or kids. Plenty of sleeping arrangements for the whole family. The Kitchen is fully stocked with all new appliances, cooking and eating utensils, pots and pans. Everything that one could need for a home cooked meal. Keurig Coffee pot also available. Off of kitchen, you will find a lovely dining area with seating for 6 along with bar seating for 4\. The living room hosts 3 comfortable chairs and 2 large couches and large screen TV for family movie nights or game nights! You will have access to a charcoal grill as well as table for 6 on the back patio. You will need to bring beach towels. For Guests 2026 Armband Policies and Procedures Children 12 years of age and younger are not required to wear an armband. Guests will have to provide a lease agreement or an email confirmation of a lease to present...VRBO reservation to the Security Attendant with a valid ID or photo of lease and ID taken with your smartphone. 1\. The Armband Policy will be in effect for the following date ranges and is subject to change based on need: • March 14th – October 17th (additional days may be added) 2\. A Pavilion Attendant will be placed at the pavilion from the hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm, 7 days a week, during the effective dates. In the case of bad weather, the attendant will be inside the Leeward Key Lobby area. 3\. Guests are to check-in with the attendant to obtain their armbands for the week. Guests should wear their bands while at the pool areas, on the pavilion and at the beach. 4\. A nonrefundable fee of $30 will be collected from the guest at the time the set of bands are issued. This fee is Cash Only. The fee of $30 is a per-home fee, not per number of guests. 5\. This home was clean & plenty of room for six adults. The neighborhood feels safe & cozy-the atmosphere is nostalgic, we love it here. It is situated in a cul-de-sac, which was perfect for us. Upon entering the house it just felt warm and inviting. It has everything you would need and would find in your own home. The private patio is the perfect spot for relaxing, grilling and entertaining. It’s a five minute walk to the beach or you can opt to ride the shuttle. One of the perks that we loved was having an umbrella and two chairs courtesy of the owner. We loved our stay so much we extended it for another week! Our host, Bill, was the best! Emerald Shores offers the perfect spot to access the beach, as well as enjoy one of two pools. Restaurants and fast-food chains are close by. We discovered a Dollar General right next door to the resort for pop-in needs like lost flip-flops and extra sun screen! Our host responded within moments if we had a concern. Kitchen was well equipped. Every thing you needed to make any meal. The washer and dryer were very nice . Cannot complain about anything. The house was the perfect size, and we particularly enjoyed the private patio, which had a hose to wash remaining sand off our feed before entering the house. The kitchen was a good size and had nice appliances. We had 10 people with us and we had plenty of room. We were close to the pool, and a shirt walk to the private access to the beach. There are two pools one closer to the entrance and one in the middle. Both are kinda small but were perfect for our kids. The best part was the shuttle service that they provided to take you to the beach (this was a lifesaver for the grandparents). The house is fully stocked with just about anything you will need. Just bring extra trash bags and laundry soap. The master suite is very nice and roomy, stays colder than all the other rooms in the house, but the bed isn't very comfortable (it's not unbearable though). The other 2 rooms beds are great. The driveway is kinda small and you can only park two cars there, with extra parking by the pool. We did have a couple of issues while there such as not being able to unlock the bedroom door from the outside when one of the kids accidentally locked the door from the inside (all the doors inside have to be unlocked with a key, that is not in the house, and the doors will unlock from the inside but stay locked on the outside) When I let the booking agent know she was quick to call the owner's and they responded quickly and they resolved it quickly. The air conditioning stopped working overnight one night, I think it froze up. We massaged the booking agent and she was quick to call the AC repair service, we left to go sight seeing and they had it fixed by the time we came back after dinner. We had no more issues the rest of the week. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, the kids loved all the board games that were there to play. We would definitely stay there again! ##### Amy R.
