First room's smoke detector was making constant beeping noise, second room bathroom ceiling rust coming through paint, tv was not working, it did not have working remote control, after 20 minutes I went to front desk, front desk clerk gave me additional remote control but that didn't work. I went back to front desk again, I asked the clerk to help me as the remotes wasn't working, he came to the room tried to work the remotes for 20 minutes or so, went got 6 more remotes tried to work the tv, he couldn't work, after 20 minutes of trying, he said he will give me a different room. He looked in the bathroom asked me if I used the room, I told him I did then he said he cannot give me another room. When I was checking out I asked if the manager can call me, the front desk lady said that she is an assistant manager asked me to tell her the reason for my request for manager to call, I told her then she said that the clerk the night before should change the room, she told me she will give the message for manager to call me. This should be a major concern of the hotel to have fixed, Minneapolis gets real cold and this window heater will be working overtime to keep the room warm soon. Also the dope smell in the common areas. Change room to 151, still terrible leaking from the ceiling in the middle of the night that woke me up with a loud leaking noises. I let John know, the night service. I just stay there. I was too tried to moved my things to another room. The rooms do not have any closets nor anywhere to hang coats nor clothing. This is unacceptable. Out of the 3 days we were there, the elevator worked for a couple of hours on the first day. I had my parents with limited mobility and had to climb stairs. A room on the first floor was not offered. This too was unacceptable because one of the reasons this hotel was chosen was because it had an elevator. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. When I I asked for clean towels, they looked annoyed.
