Delightfully relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and the detail has not been spared inside. You can tell everything is extremely well cared for. Breakfast was delicious and we felt like it was an escape, even as Stillwater residents. Also, the steam shower was legit!

The Rivertown Inn was nice. We had a little bit of trouble finding it (the signage blended in with the wall) but overall okay. The Inn was on a steep hill, which was a surprise to us. We had planned on lots of walking but due to the hill we had to take the car and walk in the town (knee replacement recently). It would have been nice to know that. The other thing that was very disappointing was the noise level. We felt like there was a family of 10 directly above us, playing hop scotch all night long. It was impossible to get some hard needed rest. Finally, for the money I had hoped we could have gotten breakfast in our room, but that seemed not to be an option, so we skipped breakfast.

I'm sorry you did not have the experience you expected. I do wish this would have been communicated to us during your stay so that we had an opportunity to rectify the situation. We have a staff person on call 24/7 for your needs. We also serve breakfast to your room, which is one of the options on the breakfast form we ask guests to fill out.

We were greeted by he property manager on our arrival & he was very attentive to us throughout our 3 night stay. He & his staff have met the COVID-19 challenge with creative & effective solutions- we felt very safe the entire stay! We were lucky enough to be staying on a weekend that the property sponsored a community concert with live music on the front porch - spectacular! We will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful, high class establishment with very comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. They have gone above and beyond to put finishing touches everywhere and staff are very knowledgeable about the history and home.

Great experience! Because of a wedding we were going to they allowed us to check in two hours earlier than normal. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating and told us about the history of the house. Will come again!

Decent location but over priced
Beautiful house but the room we stayed in (Jane austin) was on The third floor and small. Water pressure for the shower was weak and the room was cramped. For $457 a night, not worth the cost. However the breakfast was awesome!

Elegant B&B
My husband and I were delighted with our stay at this gorgeous house. We were pleasantly surprised by the happy hour they offered with wine and cheese! The porch was a welcoming space for all of the guests to enjoy our time socializing. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the presentation was impressive!

Wonderful and romantic
We enjoyed our stay in the Lewis Carroll Bedchamber very much. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated and we were able to see all of the other rooms as well befor the occupants checked in. All are lovely. Breakfast was delicious and all services and staff were flawless. Highly recommend. However, one note to that if you are expecting a historically accurate restoration, be prepared that some elements are perhaps a bit kitchsy. Also, the toilets are not enclosed privately in all rooms.

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast. We felt welcome and well cared for. The place itself was incredibly well done with many wood carvings and an abundance of stained glass in this beautiful, historic home. We are looking forward to returning in the summer months in order to enjoy the outdoor areas.

Perfect weekend get away...
Totally recommend this place for a weekend get away with your significant other. The staff were really nice and the decor of the place was charming. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in Stillwater for a couple of nights.

Really enjoyed our stay. it was a bit of splurge, but totally worth it. made our stay in stillwater memorable. i would not recommend bringing children, unless they are accustomed to being around antiques.

Very accommodating staff. Beautiful home.
I believe check in was at 4 o'clock, unfortunately our wedding started at 4:30. Staff went out of their way to make sure Room was ready for us. This allowed us to relax and enjoy the day, knowing we could get in and get ready for the wedding prior. Very nice! Breakfast was very relaxing and delicious. Chef explained what great foods we were eating. We sat on deck until it was time to leave. Staff made sure we were comfortable and never rushed us out. My only little issue was the bed. Creaked a lot and the mattress was too soft. Would definitely stay here again.

Underbar värd som tar mycket väl hand om sina gäster: bl a genom att varje eftermiddag ordna en sammankomst för alla med en liten snacksbuffé och vin. En mycket elegant trerätters frukostmeny varje morgon serveras antingen i de mjuka antika sofforna eller runt ett av husets matsalsbord. Mycket hög kvalitet på allt. Ren lyx! Hela huset är inrett med antikviteter från företrädesvis 1880-tal.

Rivertown Inn is one of the best B&B's around!
The Rivertown Inn is a lovely way to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you walk into the Inn you feel as if you've stepped back in time. Everything about this bed and breakfast couldn't have been nicer from the lovely staff to the tasty breakfast (and they went out of their way to make sure that my GF options and my husband's peanut allergies were taken care of) to the beautifully appointed rooms. I've stayed at several B&B's across the country including Cape May, NJ and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. Each of the state rooms is decorated according to a different author. We were only there for one night but I wished I would have stayed for the weekend. I can't wait to go back and stay in one of their other rooms. I would highly recommend the Rivertown Inn.

Fantastic hospitality.
We were greeted at the front door and given a tour of the beautifully furnished Victorian home. Social hour from 5 to 6 PM included wine and a lovely selection of appitizers. Our room was very comfortable. The chef prepared complimentary breakfast on the veranda was excellent. Highly recommend this classy B & B.

We had the most amazing experience for our Sister weekend! From the beautiful house, rooms, the delicious appetizers and breakfast as well as the friendliness of the staff; it was PERFECT!! We have stayed in many B&Bs but Rivertown Inn has surpassed them all.

Not practical for business use.
The room was furnished in a very ornate quasi Victorian way but did not provide a usable work space. The bathroom was cramped with no usable shower easily available. Hot water not readily available and you have to run faucet for a very long time, understandably not busy. Not practicable for business traveller.
The Rivertown Inn is often rated as one of the best romantic bed and breakfasts in the US. Although our typical guest stays with us to enjoy a romantic getaway, we strive to meet or exceed the needs of all of our guests. For business travelers, we offer several rooms which include a desk or other work surface as well as outlets for faster internet service. We also have office equipment such as printers, a fax machine and scanners which are available upon request. In an effort to provide private baths for all of the guest rooms in a historic house some of the baths are small. Three of our rooms have wall mounted shower heads whereas the remaining 6 rooms have hand held units. The Rivertown Inn offers 24 hour concierge services. All we ask of our guests is that they communicate their needs during their stay and we will do our best to exceed their expectations.

First anniversary stay. It was beautiful and quaint luxury. No kitch. Nothing fake. 3 course breakfasts served and presented by the chef. Absolutely beautiful house and furnishings. We didn't really inquire as to many services, so I can't speak to what they will arrange for you. Will be back.

Just like home
We stayed at the Rivertown Inn on a Wednesday night and had the whole inn to ourselves. After an excellent dinner downtown on the patio at the Green Room we returned to the inn where we were the only guests in the main house. We checked out all the other rooms and I read while my wife played the piano. It was just like we were at home. After a comfortable night's sleep we enjoyed a nice breakfast on the front porch before continuing on our trip.
