Inside, this home features a cozy living area with soaring ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering incredible lake views. Prepare meals in the full, well-equipped kitchen and then dine together at the adjacent table with bench seating. You'll also find a lower-level family room with an additional TV and another chill-out space with a foosball table. Outside, kick back on the furnished deck and enjoy the view, or head down to the water where you can drop in off the dock in one of the kayaks or head out on a paddleboard. This home is just about 13 miles from the heart of Louisa where you'll find various shops and restaurants as well as the Greens at Tanyard Golf Course and the Weston Farm Vineyard & Winery. Take a scenic, 12-mile drive up to Lake Anna State Park with more than 15 miles of hiking trails, a visitor center with exhibits that trace the history of the area's gold mining, and guided tours of the Goodwin Gold Mine. And if you're visiting in May, don't miss the Lake Anna Brewfest featuring over 30 different local and regional breweries. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Two kayaks and paddleboards are included. This home is located on the public "cool" side of the lake. There is a community launch that guests with boats can access. The depth of the water down at the dock for the house is roughly 8 feet. Firewood is not provided; guests will have to bring their own. Please note that a harmful algae bloom may be impacting the lake in this area. Please contact Vacasa for more info. The fireplace is not operational. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The location is great, the view is amazing. However there were a few things that overshadowed the good parts and thus will keep us from booking again. 1) the listing is not accurate. The “double sided gas log fireplace” is not usable for guests. Huge bummer. The kayak paddles were locked up, not sure if that was bc it’s not summertime or if there is some magic key we couldn’t locate. 2) the house was NOT clean when we arrived. There was so much dog hair on the floors. We tried to push it all into a corner but there was too much. Not sure how the “cleaning crew” missed that as it was everywhere (!). When I let the rental agency know they basically said what do you want us to do about it? Hmmmm really? Not the answering I was expecting. Like I said, the place is great in general but when you are paying a prime rate for 4 nights I expect it to be clean. Also the listing needs to be updated to remove gas fireplace as it’s very misleading since guests can’t use it. ##### Brianne R. It was very difficult to get to the water with the big ditch and rocks that were in the middle of the path that was under construction for running electic to the boat house. The house next door constantly had a bob cat running a jack hammer and a backhoe beeping all day Friday and Saturday. There was no break, constant load noise both days. We went for peace and quiet and literally got the opposite. The house was nice but we were disappointed with the experience. ##### Jeffrey S.
