It was our 4th visit in 4 years and it does not disappoint! The area around it is perfect for a slowed down weekend getaway full of fresh air good food and comfort. You can eat in other locations at the Weir or walk up to Porlock (bit of a long hill) or walk across to Bossington (6 mile round trip across the bay). Our room though cozy had an easy chair that I sat in and needed to get my partner to pull me out as the springs are totally gone; the chairs in the dining room were in a similar state. We were with our friends so we were a group of eight people and had major problems with dinners in the dining room and sent food back several times. There were also issues with the person on the front desk as they were obviously inebriated with alcohol. The whole experience made me very sad as we’ve had such wonderful times there in the past; hopefully they can take this feedback and get the hotel back up to the level.
