Featuring 2 king-size beds (1 with en-suite), twin room, kid's bunk room, main bathroom, accessible shower. Set within 3-acre gardens and just 5 minutes drive from Minehead. Dog and family friendly! Main Description Holly Lodge is equipped to 4-star standards, has two king size double bedrooms, one of which has an en suite bathroom, a twin bedroom ( with an electric single bed if required) and a bunk bedded room which has an a single bed and an option further single bed available. There is a main accessible bathroom with shower over and an accessible shower wet room with shower chair. The open plan living areas is split into a kitchen and dining area and the other with comfortable seating for all and a flat screen TV and Dvd. The lodge has magnificent 180 degree views running from the sea, over the valley and across the slopes of Exmoor. There are two verandas with chairs and tables to enjoy alfresco dining or just soaking up the sunshine. Set in 3 acres of gardens, and enjoys a good level of privacy being some 50 metres away from its nearest neighbour with its own area of lawn adjacent to the Lodge. There is full access to the three acre gardens, a children's play area, games room, putting green and laundry room where local information and a range of guided walks from our gate can be found. We allow up to two well behaved dogs in the Lodge (for +£20 each), there are gates on the main veranda and dogs should be kept on a lead on site and not left in the Lodge alone. Free Wifi The Lodge is fully accessible to M2 rating with a shower wet room and shower wheelchair provided. Indoor Description There is a fully equipped kitchen with full size cooker, hob, fridge freezer, washer dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle with a full range of cooking utensils, saucepans and ovenware. A washer dryer is provided. A large extendable dining table and chairs capable of seating up to 12 is provided set at the front of the Lodge taking advantage of the superb views. There is also a breakfast bar seating up to 4 between the kitchen and dining areas. The sitting room has a comfortable range of settees and chairs for at least ten people, a 32″ flat screen tv and DVD player. There is also access to a further veranda facing South West with its own garden table and chairs. There are alternate TV points in various bedrooms. One double bedroom (2) with king size five foot bed with en-suite bathroom with shower over. One double bedroom (2) with king size five foot bed with space for a cot. One twin bedroom (2) (with one adjustable electric bed for an extra charge) One bunk bedroom containing one set of full size bunk beds (2) plus a single bed (1) which has a further single pull out bed (1) underneath. Outdoor Description The Lodge is a distance from the other Lodges with a small lawn. Guests have complete access to the expansive three-acre gardens, a children's play area, a games room, a putting green, and a laundry room. In the laundry room, you'll find local information and a selection of guided walks that start right from our property's gate. Parking Parking for up to four cars adjacent to the Lodge. Electric car charging is forbidden on-site. There are two charging stations in the Alexandra Road Car Park in Minehead. Pets Description We do limit the number of dogs per Lodge to two (£20.00 per dog per visit) and ask our guests to acknowledge the privilege of being able to bring their dogs by agreeing to certain rules. These are geared to respecting other guests ability to enjoy their own holidays, protecting children on site and being able to leave the accommodation in a state to be able to be enjoyed by future guests. We ask that Dogs are kept on leads on site and are kept quiet and under control so as not to disturb other guests. We have gates on our Lodge verandas to allow dogs to move around when in the Lodge but please do not let them on the furniture and keep them out of the bedrooms. Please do not leave dogs on their own in the accommodation. Please used the dog walk area for the necessary and place any mess in the bin supplied, there are often children on site and no one would like them standing in something awful! Restricted mobility There is a single electric bed in the twin bedroom which can be booked but please note this is not a full profile bed which you can bring as long as you order it yourselves and ensure it arrives and leaves on the morning of arrival and departure. We will put the current beds to one side to allow the profile bed to be fitted but cannot remove furniture from the Lodge Exit in case of emergency Exit through main or side door or if necessary out of wide opening ground floor windows in all rooms. Christmas / New Year We supply some Holly for decoration otherwise guests are expected to bring their own. The region Minehead is the largest town on the edge of Exmoor National Park, a welcoming seaside resort on the Somerset coast with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Wales. The town is best known as the starting point of the South West Coast Path, England's longest National Trail, which stretches 630 miles from the harbour here all the way to Poole Harbour in Dorset. A sculpture marking Mile Zero stands on the seafront near the old harbour. Minehead has been a working port since the 14th century, and the quay area retains much of its historic charm with narrow lanes and fishermen's cottages clustered at the foot of North Hill. Higher Town, the oldest part of Minehead, sits on the slopes above the harbour and is home to the medieval Church of St Michael, reached by a steep footpath known as Church Steps that winds between thatched cottages with far-reaching views over the rooftops and out to sea. The Parade and The Avenue form the main shopping streets, where you will find independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and takeaways alongside everyday services. Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets are both on the outskirts of town with long opening hours, and there are banks, a Post Office, pharmacies, and petrol stations. Blenheim Gardens, opened in 1925, provides six acres of green space in the centre of town with a bandstand, putting green, bowling green, and a pleasant cafe. The medieval village of Dunster, with its castle, yarn market, and tea rooms, is barely two miles away.
