We stayed in January and esp loved the onsen and subfloor heating. Check in was easy enough because there was the option of online pre-registration. The road to the house was windy but not too bad - note that the GPS in the rental car may not show you the way. We used Google maps and got there without difficulty. We were thankful to have a 4WD and snow tires, because there was ice on parts of the road. Even though the villa is really nice with all kinds of facilities and very clean, the dinner for guests is very troublesome as we rush to dine at Kurokawa Onsen area and then drive up before the sunset totally. The road to villa can be scary at night, especially we drive a 7 people car.
