You have arrived at a luxurious paradise location and home for your vacation that provides opportunities to create wonderful new family beach memories. Beachfront Tranquility is totally oriented to the water. Every room has some view of the water. Straight out in front of you are the beach and water. Our private, very short walkway gets you immediately to your beach. Enjoy our four-bedroom beach home with outstanding unobstructed views of Broadkill Beach, Delaware Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean. Broadkill is considered a "Low-density area", so you will indeed get a wonderful quiet experience for your family time together! We provide Contactless check-in with a keypad door - the keypad access code will be sent to you just prior to your arrival. The decks give you unobstructed views of the beach and water. Our guests enjoy watching from our decks their children playing on the beach. You can watch the array of wildlife as gentle waves dance in before your eyes. The house is a quiet haven to relax, work, and just unwind. Our beach, that extends to the end of South Bayshore Drive, is extremely isolated. There is no street parking so no one else can access our beach. No permits are needed for parking. Our driveway can hold 9 cars. You will be lured into taking long, peaceful, walks in either direction where you may see dolphins, crabs, eagles, osprey, owls, hawks, and other wildlife. The wide, flat beach creates a huge playground for games and fun for beach lovers of all ages. The water is warm and shallow, with a smooth sandy bottom. For your convenience we provide for you the following: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent pods,dishwasher detergent, dish soap, multipurpose cleaner, trash bags - both for recycling and regular - olive oil, assorted spices, drip coffee filters and liquid soap for the sinks. In addition, we provide linens and towels: 9 of the following: fluffy bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup washcloths and kitchen towels. For families we also have available: Graco Pack and Play, crib sheet, highchair, silicone infant plates and utensils, children's plates, cups and utensils, Aveeno baby shampoo and lotion, board books, children’s books, board games, and a craft table with paper. There are also two step stool- one is tan colored and the other issue bright pink and white one usually found in the kitchen closet. Prior to your arrival I will send out a list of recommendations of places to go, restaurants, grocery stores and other information to help you get prepared for your trip to our paradise. Every bed gets the following: soft sheets, blankets, bedspread/quilts, pillow protectors, pillowcases, and pillow shams. Every week all the towels and linens are commercially laundered. In addition, the bedspreads, pillow shams and blankets are also commercially laundered. We send over 125 pounds of laundry every week to be cleaned. These laundry costs are part of the cleaning fee for the house. First floor. Child items are located in the first floor along with in the second floor. On the main floor, you will love the large wraparound deck where you can enjoy breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets. On the deck are many chairs, a picnic table, and propane BBQ; all elements that create an inviting atmosphere for lounging, dining, and viewing the water and beach. On a clear day or night, you can see all the way across the Bay to Cape May, 14 miles away. WIFI! The living room has cable and Apple TV with DE highest speed internet Wi-Fi. This nine-foot ceiling room includes a large cabinet/bookcase where you will find many books and games. Both the living room and adjacent sunroom have comfortable, upholstered chairs and sofas for gathering. The sunroom, full of windows and light, has always been a favorite place for guests to congregate because of the incredible views and comfortable environment both for sunrises and sunsets. It has a sliding door to the main deck. You can also close an inner sliding door for privacy from the living room. The house’s open floor plan is spacious and welcoming with the beach and water always in view. You move seamlessly from the living room and sunroom to the sitting area, dining room and kitchen. Enthusiastic cooking guests enjoy our well-stocked kitchen. We have many new major appliances. For example, our new gas range has three oven options: standard gas oven, convection oven and crisp fryer option. Our new state of the art refrigerator has the latest elements for all your needs. \*See below for all the appliances we offer. The large kitchen is complete with granite countertops, bamboo wood flooring, and an extensive supply of cooking accessories. The dining area right in the kitchen area can seat 11 people comfortably - more if you want to add the folding table. The propane grill is right outside the sliding glass door from the kitchen. This floor also has a full bath with shower, toilet and vanity. The new washer and dryer are in the hallway leading to the bathroom. The iron, and board and a clothes steamer are located in the front closet. The full assortment of appliances are readily available in the kitchen closet for your use - including a Vitamix blender, regular blender, drip coffee machine, Keurig ,and many more useful amenities. Some are listed on the amenities page, and these are more: large electric griddle, electric skillet, crock pot, waffle maker. Second floor - bedrooms and bathrooms Child items are located on this floor also . All commercially cleaned linens and towels are on the second floor. Bedrooms - The four bedrooms upstairs all have 12' vaulted ceilings and offer lots of light and views. The large primary bedroom suite has its own spacious completely renovated bathroom with a shower, soaking tub, double sinks, and hair dryer. This bedroom also has its own private porch that faces the beach. Two more spacious bedrooms are on this floor. The peach bedroom has a king bed and a couch. Another bedroom has a king bed and a chair that converts to a twin bed. The fourth bedroom has a sofa that converts to a queen pull-out bed. In addition, this bedroom has a TV on a dresser with apple TV. This bedroom has a large sliding glass door leading to the upper deck with unparalleled views. The other upstairs completely renovated bathrooms includes a toilet, shower and counter with double sinks, fire extinguisher, and hair dryers. We have first aid kits. They are located in a cabinet on the back side of the kitchen counter which faces the beach. In that cabinet, you will find placemats. Ground floor - garage . The garage is stocked with abundant numbers of beach chairs of all sizes, ( at least 14 chairs and additional children's chairs)umbrellas, beach toys, a full-size boogie boards and beach games. You will find a two-person kayak, and a paddle board that can also be used as a kayak. Numerous life jackets are there in the garage also. Due to COVID-19 we are continuing taking extremely careful industry vetted recommended steps to ensure the house is safe for your visit. For each cleaning the crew begins by spraying the house with a commercial Covid vetted disinfectant, then a thorough cleaning and sanitizing, and a final second disinfectant spraying. Only then will the House be ready for your stay. Due to COVID extra decorative pillows and accessories have been removed for your safety. Séjour de 7 nuits en août 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Naomi A. 10 août 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### beach heaven This house was a perfect choice for nine people of three generations.Situated on a quiet, private stretch of Broadkill Beach, the house was large and very well-equipped. The large dining table enabled us all to sit together for meals. A wrap-around porch enabled beautiful ocean views and safe outdoor play space for the toddlers. The homeowner was easily accessible via text and seemed genuinely concerned that we have an optimal experience. Access to the house was immediate via a keypad with no need to pick up a key. This location is ideal for families with small children, as the homeowner has provided many amenities for children/babies (ex: baby shampoo, faucet extensions for handwashing, high chair, pack-n-play, toys, etc.) and the quiet beach with gentle waves was preferable to the rougher surf down in the Rehoboth area. There is also a nice selection of books and games for adults. There is no shoulder on the winding access road to the house, so walking on the road with small children is not advised. But long beach walks were a pleasure and grocery shopping, golf, and a small convenience store are in quick driving distance. ##### Naomi A. It has become the family's favorite place to be together. Some of the grandchildren were 7 on their first vacation here and now are 18 and still look forward to staying at our "Broadkill Beach House". The younger grandchildren are experiencing the fun too. Tess makes you feel so welcome and cannot do enough to make your visit easy and relaxing. The updates to the house and amenities are 5-star hotel quality! This home is everything it says to be and more. The home has a welcoming beach themed decor. You don’t need to bring much. Plenty of beach items, toys, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and kitchen items. Oven and grill were perfect. Tons of extra blankets and towels. To keep sandy areas clean in house there were brooms and vacuums. Everyone on the beach in nearby homes were nice. Extremely peaceful and the extra sunroom was the best. The temperature was perfect in house. Games and books galore. We saw dolphins and some sand sharks way out. There is a hot tub that looked cleaned and was warm. The bathrooms were well stocked and nicely updated. There’s a small store up the road to get some essentials and ice cream. The town of Milton was quaint and the easiest for grocery shopping. Other beach areas had tons of restaurants and oh my the Tanger Outlets were perfect for tons of shopping deals. Would definitely come back again! Hosts are very sweet, prompt and extremely helpful! ##### Dawn L. It has everything you need — lots of relaxing areas, comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen (yes, real knives!), and everything for the beach, from toys to pretty towels. We enjoyed paddling in the sea kayak and floating on boogie boards with the kids. From the front windows we saw a fox and her kits, a turtle laying eggs and lots of birds. One night we were able to enjoy a fire on the beach. For a rainy day activity, we enjoyed the Quick Sip Tour at Dogfish Head Brewery in nearby Milton and also took the kids to Rehoboth for a few hours. The busy beaches aren’t for us. Broadkill’s serenity and natural beauty are gems to us all. We hope to return! ##### Norma L. It was clean and well stocked with everything you could need to feel at home. Plenty of beach toys and chairs for everyone. The kitchen was a delight with all a chef could desire. The owners Tess & Andy were wonderful and highly communicative. Lots of TLC put into this home. My wife, adult children, grandkids and I had one of our best vacations ever. The house was spacious and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well supplied with appliances, cookware, utensils, plates, etc. In addition, we had plenty of beach paraphernalia including chairs, kayaks, toys, and wood for a bonfire. The ocean was literally in our back yard. My 4 year old grandson could not get enough of the beach where he and I would play for hours. Plus, each room of the house had a great view of the water. Our hosts, Tess and Andy Wald, were committed to ensuring we had a pleasurable stay in Broadkill. Tess in particular was very responsive to our needs - even months before our arrival - and urged us to ask her questions. When I inquired about something for our grandson she ensured Amazon delivered it to the house within 48 hours. Now that's above and beyond in my book. We created many wonderful memories during this vacation. Thanks Tess and Andy for a wonderful stay. ##### Rick S. We love the views of the water from the house and how short the walk is to the beach. Although public, it feels like a private beach. We enjoyed making campfires on the beach and the sunrises over the water are beautiful for the early risers. Everything you need (kitchen utensils, towels, soap, linens) is supplied making packing much easier. We did have a glitch with the AC, but Tess and Andy were extremely responsive and got the problem resolved quickly. We are already planning to come back next year. ##### Don S. This was our third and best annual trip to Broadkill. The house is fantastic, location perfect and the owner welcoming, accommodating and responsive. Our group of 11 (6 A; 5 K) appreciated having ALL linens, garbage bags, soaps, sand supplies, etc. provided. It really cut down on packing. The kitchen was great. The adults loved the coffee grinder, French press and tea kettle for the mornings and the excellent blender easily handled aioli for grilled lamb kabobs. The convection oven kept the kids supplied with Dino-Nuggets and they enjoyed choosing their favorite colors of plates, cups and utensils. There is only one fridge, so we made a beverage cooler on the deck and bought ice every few days. The beds were comfy and the two older boys loved their own room for TV and occasional down time. Nonie and Pa relaxed on their sunporch for early morning reading with beautiful sunrises. We used chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and the two-person kayak and life jackets. We did not try the hot tub. We hiked the fun, easy Boardwalk Trail in nearby Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. (Do take bug spray.) Prime Hook also has a good little gift shop. When the wind blows from the west, yes, there are days with bugs, but that's why Delaware Bay is full of life -- birds, fish, aquatic creatures. From the sunroom we even watched a turtle lay her eggs. If you're looking for natural beauty, peace and solitude, this place is for you. ##### Norma L. Taking advantage of its beachfront, the house provides views from all the living areas. It may be an older home but the new appliances and furnishings make it fresh. From 80 yrs to 5.. we all found our spots with plenty of room to spread out. The bay flies were kept at bay by the constant breeze making a full day at the beach very pleasant. It was great to have all the beach equipment at hand we put the provided kayak to good use! It was so nice to be away from the tourist traps and in a natural beach area. Beachfront tranquility offers a stunning waterfront retreat with scenic beach surroundings, bright windows and spacious rooms. The house had everything you could need, easily labeled and accessible. This place was exactly as described in the pictures and photos. Our family enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the kids enjoyed time on the beach flying kites, "saving the horseshoe crabs" that were upside down, watching the wildlife, and easy access to the beach. Although remote and set apart in a quiet area, the location allowed us easy access to great restaurants, shopping, and a short drive to Rehoboth Beach. Tess was a terrific host to work with and very responsive day and night! I highly recommend staying at this property if you are visiting the Broadkill Beach area! Tess is incredibly responsive and caring about her guests with great communication and many tips to offer. The house is incredibly well appointed for a large family who enjoys cooking, games, and easy access to the beach. Our littlest 2 year old easily navigated the path to the beach and was able to be very independent in the calm shallow waters of the bay. The kayak and hot tub are big hits with the older boys and the well appointed kitchen with our culinary crew feeding our large group. When you walk through the door of Beachfront Tranquility you see directly through to the ocean - and it's that way from anywhere in the house. Even on gloomy or rainy days, you can sit in virtually any room and still view and enjoy the ocean. We absolutely love this house - and it's owners! ##### Cindie V.
