Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The deck of this amazing property sits out over the beautiful waters of South Twin Lake. Spectacular views await you from both the inside and outside of the camp. This very private property consists of the entire peninsula. There is a large dock that is great for fishing, boating and swimming on the opposite side of the peninsula. There is a workspace area with a desk and high speed Starlink WIFI (100Mbps). The inside has two bedrooms one a king bed the other a futon that folds out into a bed. There is a king and queen air mattress that can also be used for additional guests. All new handmade Amish furniture and beautiful decor will make your stay at South Twin Lake a special memory. Top it off with a trip to nearby Baxter State Park or Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. You can utilize the outside firepit to cook food, roast smores, or just to relax and enjoy the views of the lake. There is a small dock just to the left of the cabin where you can take a dip in the lake or launch one of our kayaks. The large dock on the other side of the peninsula is great for fishing, docking a boat and swimming. Enjoy sunsets and views of Mount Katahdin from the unique deck of the camp which sits over the water. Note that this cabin is not suitable for younger children because of the proximity to the water. This unique property is very private. The entire peninsula is all part of the property and there are no other cabins on it. There is a dock on the opposite side of the peninsula that is good for fishing and swimming. Unlike many cottages on the lake, there is only a very short drive on dirt roads (less than 1/4 mile). It takes only 11 minutes to get back to Millinocket which has a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, a golf course, and other places to shop. It is one of the best cabins my wife and I have stayed in in Maine. It was very clean and welcoming. Mosquitos, common in the evening in Maine, were abundant at night. The 3rd night there was cool enough to turn off the AC and open the deck doors to listen to the loons calling. Unfortunately, there was a 7-inch gash in the screen preventing us from doing just that. I reported the gash to Brandon who was unaware of the tear. The cabin is only a short ride to Baxter State Forests Togue Pond gate making this place very convenient for a visit to the park.
