Welcome to The Village Haus, we are so excited to host you for your next stay with room for the whole family! The covered wrap porch greets you with sitting areas to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Upon entry you will find everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare meals during your stay, including a griddle for morning pancakes and even a mini air fryer for a quick snack! Both bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels and wash clothes as well as a starter pack of toilet paper. All the beds are dressed in comfy bedding to make your stay restful and relaxing. Extra bedding is available in the closet upstairs and an air mattress is available upon request (just mention it upon check in). The living room has plenty of gathering space featuring a large sectional and a smart TV for streaming service. Speaking of, our home has amazing WI-FI that can accommodate multiple devices at a time work, play, and stream all at the same time! Upstairs features additional hang out space with another smaller sectional, TV, and DVD player. Upstairs bedrooms include the master bedroom with King bed and walk in closet as well as the bunk room featuring a full on the bottom and single on top. The bunk room also has a futon that folds out for additional sleeping. The downstairs bedroom offers a Queen bed. Centrally located in the quaint town of Millington MI only minutes from Little Bavaria aka Frankenmuth, MI as well as Birch Run Prime Outlets! Also close to Flint,Saginaw, Bay City and Midland making a day trip very reasonable. Prefer the beach? We are close to Caseville located on Lake Huron! We have TONS of recommendations so if your unsure just ask, we are happy to help! HOUSE RULES: PET POLICY: Dogs only two dog maximum-sorry no cats. Additional pet fee for more than one dog. We truly want our home to be your home! That being said we have found that in order to keep our home enjoyable for all of our guests we have a few requests. \*\*\*Please make sure gas is turned off on the grill when not in use. Unfortunately some of our board games have been mishandled. We did our best to put them back together but if you find they are not useable please leave them on the kitchen table. If you do use them please try to keep the game pieces together with its respective game. We do not have cable but we do have high speed internet and a smart TV in the living room for streaming services. The TV remote is in the drawer on TV stand. Please do not use carpet powders on the rugs or carpets. Please do not mix dark wash cloths with white towels if you need to wash towels. There are two available parking spots for our home. Additional street park is also available however, village limits ordinance requires NO parking on the street 10pm-2am. Please place any used towels in the laundry room. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: We named our home The Village Haus first and foremost because we are so close to the famous Little Bavaria aka Frankenmuth! But secondly, because we wanted to include our roots. Millington is a quaint peaceful village community that is a great place for family! Other than it’s central location to Frankenmuth and Birch Run Prime Outlets shopping mall, we are also close to Flint, Saginaw, Midland, and Bay City! Also close to Caseville Beach (located on Lake Huron)! Making us truly a great central location to LOTS of fun options while remaining away from all the hustle and bustle of busy city life. Millington itself has some really neat antique malls and shops! As well as a few other notable places to visit; Stop by Curly Cone for a Coney dog or delicious soft serve ice cream! If you prefer hand dipped treats head North a bit on M15 and check out “Chocolates Galore” for the best hand dipped ice cream around! Did I mention, they also have THE BEST hand made chocolates?! The house was great for our family gathering (5 adults) and is conveniently located less than 20 minutes from Frankenmuth. The living room was comfortable and easily accommodated all us. The kitchen was large, and the table was nice for family game night. Bedrooms were also comfortable. Everything about the house was great (including the layout and decorations, etc.,), and we would definitely return. The little village of Millington was quaint --- and we stopped for dinner one night at Benny's Bierhalle (and had pizza from Millington Pizza N More, located next door). The only negative experience was getting a request for an additional $100 for our dog (2 days before our arrival) after thinking we had paid in full back July. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. We also liked the location-- a nice quiet little town with a couple restaurants within walking distance and easy driving out to Frankenmuth and other locations for daily activities. This location is centrally located to many places with lots of activities. The house was clean, cozy and decorated in a way that makes you feel like you are at home. We did not use the kitchen to cook but we scanned the cabinets, and this home has everything you would need to cook including spices & cooking spray. We spent the majority of our time in Frankenmuth and this property was about a 15-20 minute drive each way. This was a nice cozy house for our girls/mom's short weekend getaway. Rated down one star because we went on a very hot weekend and unfortunately the upstairs does not seem to get cool or have air conditioning. The air was running in the main level but no air was coming out of the vents upstairs. Owner provided lots of fans in each room upstairs which very much helped, but it still was very hot and with the majority of the sleeping being upstairs this was not ideal & made it difficult for sleeping. If staying at the property on a cooler weekend this wouldn't be an issue. Also the pillows on the beds were very thin and the 4 of us staying there had to use almost all pillows provided to have enough support to get comfortable. Overall, great location - very clean - very cozy house! Would stay here again if we were ever in the area (on a cooler weekend!) ##### Tracy M.
