Wonderful family gathering
We were truly grateful to able to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. The space was very comfortable and roomy enough to accommodate our group. The kitchen was well equipped. Our adult children loved playing ping pong downstairs.

House is darling
House is darling. Nice mix of modern comfort and cute touches. It’s huge— 1 big bedroom downstairs and 2 upstairs, one of which has 2 twin beds. Living room has comfy couches to seat many, downstairs also has seating. Would absolutely stay here again. It’s clean and comfy.

We were in the area for a Vassar parents weekend and had a wonderful stay. House was clean, comfortable and check in process was easy. We would stay here again. Plus the town of Millbrook is super cute!

Quiet stay outside Millbrook
If you like privacy and the nightly sounds of crickets and frogs in a comfortable setting, this is the place for you! Just a few miles outside Millbrook (where there is a wonderful diner and coffee shop), this property has all the amenities you'll need. Although we did not use it, the basement level provides excess communal area for larger groups. A backyard pool remains under construction, but a deck and table/umbrella provide outside enjoyment. Was surprised by the lack of shampoo and conditioner, however, problem was easily solved by a quick trip to CVS. The washer and dryer are also a bit old but did the job when needed albeit slowly. Beware Catskills and Hudson valley are experiencing high levels of ticks this year.

Great for Family Group
Property as Owner and pictures show. A pool was being built but this was fully disclosed and no work done while we were there. It will be a nice enhancement. We were there to spend Thanksgiving with family living nearby. The house was perfect for us. Fully equipped for a group. We were able to cook easily but the village is nearby for supplies and restaurants. Countryside in the area is beautiful and owner has plenty of suggestions for activities. We went to the Trevor Zoo at Millbrook School which proved a fun and interesting activity. Would definitely book again.

Quiet road
Since I travel some with my dogs, it was important to have a property that allowed dogs. There was a little grass area to walk them on and the road was fairly quiet so I did not have to worry about traffic. Marcia was very responsive to any questions I had. The only thing I was not prepared for was the difficulty with cell service in the area However, the Wi-Fi in the house allowed me to stay in touch with home.

Bright & sunny, with comfortable furniture and beds. We only had 2 nights, but would have happily stayed longer if our trip had allowed. Nice kitchen with a few staples like coffee tea sugar spices etc. Kids loved the ping pong table!

Great Escape from NYC - Cozy, Comfy and Quiet
Perfect weekend couple's escape from NYC! The house was super comfortable and nicely furnished. Well equipped kitchen for those who like to cook and/or grill (like us!) Nice bedrooms and lots of closet space. SUPER quiet for great night's sleep! We didn't use the basement family room area, but could see folks really enjoying that. Great location....less than 5 minutes into downtown Millbrook and close to lots of other destinations. Our weekend went way too fast! Would love to go back and explore the area more. Marcia is an incredibly thoughtful and responsive owner. Really enjoyed our stay!

We had a terrific stay here. The pictures are accurate, but don't give a full impression of how spacious and comfortable the house is. We'll definitely want to stay here again next time we visit this area.

This well appointed and charming home is spacious and comfortable.
The home is in a great location for getting around Millbrook and on a quiet street. It worked very well for family of three and would also work for larger groups. we didn’t need to use many of the available creature comfort‘s including pots and pans, dishes, etc. But the home is well-suited for those who need additional items. Marcia is helpful and responsive.

Perfect location and super cute!
We stayed in this home for a girls’ weekend celebrating our best friend’s 40th birthday. It was perfect! The location was convenient for all the adventures we had planned in the surrounding areas. We all had plenty of space and were very comfortable in our rooms and the living areas. I booked it as a surprise and all the girls LOVED IT!! Marcia was wonderful! Super responsive, very nice and easy to work with. As a random side note, there were a MILLION ladybugs everywhere!!! I know that doesn’t really have much to do with anything but it added to the magical feeling of the stay! 😍 The whole experience was amazing. If ever back in the area, we would certainly stay again! Thank you, Marcia!!

Girls weekend away
Property is very well-maintained and looks exactly like the pictures. The community around offers many cultural and historical events and sites. The host is very gracious in providing information and very responsive to questions. Happy to visit again

Adequate but less than other properties in the area
This home is aptly shown in the photos. It is just that. Clean and comfortable. There are no extras, for instance we needed to buy laundry soap and shampoo and lotion and bath soap. Also in the kitchen there was only coffee, salt and pepper and a bottle of wine- no tea, olive oil, spices. The host said because it is too difficult to keep these supplies with guests coming and going, however she did provide ample dishwashing liquid so that guests can wash her dishes. The main reason I give this only 3 stars is that I have stayed at many homes in Millbrook during the last 4 years while my son was attending school in the area, and this property was absolutely my least favorite, primarily because there was very little yard and in the small yard there was no where to sit and enjoy because there wasn't any view or outlook onto the beautiful country landscape that is prevalent in Millbrook. All the other properties I have stayed in have offered fabulous settings in the natural landscape. On a side note, I mentioned to the host, after her change/cancellation date, yet two weeks prior to my arrival, that I only needed her property for the first 2 of the 5 days booked and she did not even offer to extend a refund if she were able to rebook those three nights, so instead we had to pay for three nights in which we were not staying at the house. Personally, with so many properties with generous and gracious hosts in the neighborhood, and with gorgeous properties, I'd choose elsewhere.

I am very sorry this guest was disappointed with her stay. I gave her a very generous rate reduction based on her extended stay, despite that it was over a holiday weekend. In the days leading up to her stay, she asked to cancel a portion of the holiday weekend which would have put me in a position of not being able to rent it at that late date since it was only a portion of the holiday weened or get my housekeeper to clean in preparation for new renters. My cancellation policy is also very clear. It is unreasonable for her to have expected me to refund her for the holiday. Regarding supplies, my listing is very clear about what is provided, and the photos and description are representative and accurate as to the surroundings. My house is on a peaceful, quiet street and the back deck faces trees and offers lovely sunsets. I have over 20 very positive reviews and many of my guests have come back and stayed again. I take a great deal of pride in my home and it is my hope that all my renters are happy and satisfied.

Our Daughter and her children very much enjoyed this bright and cheerful home. She was visiting from Florida for a Family wedding. It was a cozy and comfortable place to come home to each night . The beds were inviting and comfy. They slept well. Everything was fresh and clean. Thank You for a very nice experience. Diana
