Sand and sea beckon from the large picture windows of Chez Soleil on this beautiful stretch of the Delaware Bay. Spectacular views of gorgeous sunrises from the Living Room, Dining Room, and Master Bedroom windows. Breathtaking sunsets over the Prime Hook Nature Preserve from the other rooms. Relax in Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the bay or relax in garden chairs on the porch overlooking the preserve. Either one is beautiful to watch. Keep a look out into the bay and you might see the dolphins swimming past. Enjoy the quietness and solitude as you soak in the sun, read a book, or watch the wildlife go by. Take a leisurely stroll down the beach combing for sea glass or seashells. If you're feeling more adventurous, bring your bikes and ride along the winding Prime Hook Road stopping to take pictures of Blue Herons, Egrets, Eagles, and other migratory birds. Before you come in for the evening, sit out on the screened-in deck and watch the stunning sunset views over the National wildlife preserve. All the rooms in Chez Soleil have windows with a view of the water whether it be the bay or the wildlife refuge. The first floor is an open floor plan that encompasses a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room. The oversized windows give these rooms unimpeded views of the Delaware Bay. Cooking essentials, Cable TV, high speed internet, and a full bath is also located on this floor for your convenience. Our off-season guests can enjoy the ambiance and warmth of the gas fireplace. The second floor is comprised of three bedrooms that can accommodate a total of six people. The Master bedroom, which overlooks the bay, has a king bed with private bath, walk in closet and cable TV. The two rooms across the hall overlook the wildlife refuge. One room has a queen bed with private shower and cable TV, while the other has XL twin beds with a private bath (if requested the XL twin beds can be converted into another king). Bedding and linens are provided including cotton sheets and bath and beach towels. The property next to Chez Soleil is a beach pathway access. The seclusion of Prime Hook makes you feel that you have a little beach community to yourself but it’s only a twenty-five-minute ride south to the hustle and bustle of Lewes and Rehoboth. Not sure what to do? Walk the historic streets of Lewes, Delaware’s first settlement. Take a tour of Dogfish head brewery. Ride the waves at Cape Henlopen or tour the Fort Miles WWII Museum. Shop the outlets or walk the boards in Rehoboth. For those with younger ones a trip to Rehoboth’s Funland is a must. We believe that you will enjoy Chez Soleil as much as we do. We had stayed at this beautiful home before and it is a sun-filled joyful place. Chez Soleil is beautiful and immaculate and Nanette is responsive and thinks of everything. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the waves, cooking in the large kitchen, taking quiet walks with our dog on the private beach and celebrating the 4th of July with a local parade. The host Nannette made the process effortless from start to finish. The home is breathtaking on a private beach with just a short walk to the sand and water. The area is very quiet and private yet not too far from groceries, gas and things to do. It is also next to Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge which is beautiful and so peaceful. We stayed preseason but the beach was empty. Lots of Horeshoe crabs could make laying out on the beach a little uncomfortable but we are beach walkers and found it very interesting with lots of birds, crabs etc...Important to note that Fowler Beach (just north) is closed all summer for the nesting birds. ##### Kimberly M. My husband ,myself, my daughter and her husband and my 80 year old mom had a lovely stay at this wonderful property! It was our first time at Prime Hook and won't be our last. The home was perfect for us, it's even better than the pictures. Nanette was so responsive to all our needs and questions. This had to be one of the cleanest and well stocked homes we've ever rented ! We had an amazing stay. Nannette was great and was quick to respond to any of our questions. The property was immaculately kept with waterfront views of either the bay or preserve from all windows. We loved that the area is so private with very few people on the beach and the town of Milton is a short drive for any necessities that we required. Our young children loved how calm and shallow the water was at the beach especially at low tide. Be prepared to avoid the insects on days when the wind blows in off of the marsh, but this was only an issue for us 2 days out of our 2 week stay. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and serine getaway, look no further! The moment we stepped through the front door, we were totally impressed. The house was immaculate, very clean, and tastily decorated. The view of the Delaware Bay and the sunrises is absolutely spectacular from the living room and master bedroom. The view of the Wildlife Refuge from the other two bedrooms was not too shabby either! While there is no shopping or restaurants in the immediate area, it's a short drive to both Milton (and Dogfish Head Brewery!) and Lewes, which have plenty of restaurants and shopping for your necessities. They thought of everything when furnishing this house. There were kayaks to take out on the bay, bicycles, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a gas grill, and much more. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was also really nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom and shower, with an additional bathroom and shower on the main floor and an outdoor shower to get the sand off. The few times I did contact Nannette with questions, she immediately responded with all the answers. Thank you, Nannette, for making our experience so memorable! ##### Tom S.
