The young lady at the desk when we arrived was pleasant, friendly, and very patient with this road-weary traveler who was somewhat confused over whether we'd already been charged (we weren't). We ended up with a VERY clean, exceptionally comfortable room (2 queen beds) that was rustic yet cozy. The sink and toilet are newer. The area is pretty: a big lake is across the road. Despite the motel being on highway 41, it was quiet enough at night that we could leave the windows open. The young woman staffing the motel told us that it is owned by her grandparents. The motel is between Michigamme and L'Anse. We went into L'Anse for breakfast.
