Let down by Hotels.com
I did not get to stay at the hotel I was told I did not have reservation for me even tho I paid in full for 3 nightsand had a confirmation I contacted Hotels.com and was issued a refund which was sent back to my card so for my weekend I got to experience what being homeless was like

Great last minute find!
My first time in Miami & loved how well they took care of me and offered numerous recommendations to help me get the best experience. I felt like they were truly watching out for me, loved that! Will be back!!!

WE LIKE THE SANCTUARY, A FEW MISSTEPS HERE AND THE
MY HUSBAND & I LIKE THIS HOTEL, LITTLE KITCHEN/LIVING AREA, RESORT FEE IS REASONABLE FOR WHAT IT COVERS, BREAKFAST IS PLEASANT NOT GOURMET BUT GOOD. THE HOTEL USED TO SHARE POOL WITH BENTLEY AND THE GALE. NOW IT IS JUST THE GALES WHICH IS VERY NICE. NO KEURIG CUPS FOR KEURIG COFFEE MAKER SO WE BOUGHT OUR OWN. THE HOTEL IS A KEEPER.

Sanctuary Hotel. A bit disappointing...
Was a bit disappointed in the bathrooms that were in need of renovation. The staff was friendly. The valet parking was quite expensive (no free parking available).

Good location, deceiving photos.
Great location close to the beach, main shopping areas, tour companies & public transport. Breakfast included- great- but very simple: cereal, toast, pastries & fruit. No eggs or meats and its first come first serve. They don't seem to restock. However, breakfast is breakfast! We were still happy to have it. The beach area was fantastic, Take note that umbrellas are $19 USD in addition to the resort fee. The room was clean but looked about 10 years older than the pictures online. Many things needed replacing inside our room visually, but for the most part it was functional and comfortable. Be aware that the pool and gym in the images aren't on site, but are only a 1 minute walk to the neighbouring hotel which sanctuary guests are welcome to use included with hotel fees.

Good location for what is worth
We had an early morning flight, and they wasn't able to give us a room till 2hours later. It is very humid inside of the room, but that's most places in Miami for you. We were told we can use beach chairs with another hotel , which we got rejected. If you are paying $100 for this hotel , not bad, otherwise not worth the buck

It was great.
Great place and I would stay alot more and longer if the parking was cheaper. I know lots of my friends wilk stay here if the rate would be less to offset the high parking cost. Could improve on the standard of the room just a little. Overall it was a good experience. Andrew Eligon CCTMULTISPORT

Bad WIFI and bad breakfast which was charged extra
The staff was nice and helpful but checkin took longer than needed since instructions were written down by hand on the spot. The wifi barely did not work which is a big minus. Even though it said on the booking that breakfast was included we were charged a MANDATORY fee of $15 per night and after we paid they said: and by the way there is no protein in the breakfast. Terrible. The hotel is quite worn down. Staff running around screaming early outside the rooms waking you up with zero consideration. The hotel plays loud music all night.

Good value in a good location
The Sanctuary is a nice little hotel not far from all the action in South Beach. The rooms are very spacious. Ours was self contained with a kitchenette and lounge area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The downsides? The hotel lacks some finishing touches you would see at most four and five star hotels. The pool is also very small and shallow.

Sanctuary or cave?
Rooms have a moldy smell. They are tightly sealed and trap moisture I think. They are comfortable but austere. There also is a privacy issue as the only way to block the glass door is by closing a full blackout curtain depriving you of any daylight. Felt more like a cave than a sanctuary

Convenient location in South Beach
We came for New Year's Eve and the valet across the street was $80 so keep that in mind if you come for a really busy time. I think it's normally $30. But about the hotel, the location was good. It's just a block away from Collins Avenue so there's a lot within walking distance. The room itself was clean and modern. There was a problem with the cable or satellite and the TV picture was really bad, but it was NYE so we didn't really care. But yeah overall I liked it and I would go back again.

overall, decent stay when it came to the room. pretty ridiculous that my only parking option was $70 overnight parking across the street, which wasn't included in the price of the overnight stay. 'complimentary breakfast' included bananas and 3 options of cereal and sub-par service. generally, this place is fine if you're staying here for one night, but anything longer would be disappointing. was expecting better out of this place, especially for New Year's Eve, but it was over-sold.

Great Spot Near the Beach
A wonderfully elegant hotel with a great restaurant located in the front. There was a good amount of space in the entrance of the room, this was great for inviting guests and chatting in the living room area. There was a nice kitchen area that was very spacious. Room service was very attentive to all of my needs.

Hotel is in need of an update. Bathrooms old and dirty, many of the guest room door handles were broken and there was only a tiny latch used as a lock on the front door, it didn't feel very secure. Pool area was disappointing, very small and the lounge chairs were dirty. Breakfast (which was included in room fee) was laughable - no place to even get a bottle of water at the hotel.

Woman at reception was very helpful, cant recall her name. Location was excellent, very close to Art Basel and lots of restaurants. bed not very comfortable. The restaurant, Ola, at the hotel, was fantastic.

Well worn with surprise charges!
Place was once really nice but now it is "well worn". Plus, in addition to the room rates figure another $50 for taxes and fees. But the killer is after the bill and taxes are paid in full from Hotels.com the hotel then wacks you for a $15 resort fee and another $40 per day for parking. Needless to say that this is the last time we stay here.

Hot Miserable Stay
We checked in on 11/21/15 I should have known this will be a long night when the room smelled of mold and the A/C was at 82 degrees after lowering the temperature to cool off the room we left at 5pm to attend a family function. On our return the hotel room was at 81 degrees the first maintenance call we were told to set the A/C to 72 degrees. About 2 hot hours later the room went to 83 degrees. On our second maintenance call the a/c filter was taken out and the A/C blew hot air all night. The worst part when calling the front desk I was told we couldn't get our own ice bucket filled and that if we wanted bottle water we had to walk to CVS which was 2 blocks away. Terrible customer service and terrible lighting throughout the bedroom area. The TV in the bedroom was so small and only 2 channels worked in that room, the TV in the living room area was better more channels but only 2 channels in English.

Overall a great experience except the service person Frank who always seemed to have a sarcastic remark when you would ask numerous questions Since they surprise you with numerous charges at check in. Cleaning lady's were amazing , but I would dust of the employee handbook and reassure certain people of what there job requirements are.

I guess you get what you pay for. Room was dirty, and I found a rather huge cockroach in my room on the second night. The room itself had next to no natural light, and smelled like it hadn't been aired in quite a while. Definitely not going back.

Great staff free continental breakfast refrigerator and microwave nice on site bar and restaurant rooftop entertainment on Wednesday night. cons-occasional bugs in kitchen area, can sometimes take a long time to get staff on phone also, there is a loading zone in front for guests to check in and depart;close to beach and convention center and Lincoln Road in a quiet area. I would definitely stay there again at same price I paid through Expedia

Wonderful retreat in the heart of the Miami Beach social scene! Extremely close to the Convention center and Lincoln Street! Staff was so helpful. Only negative was the breakfast. In lieu of the fact that they have a top rated restaurant for dinner, they could have at least provided actual cream for the coffee, instead of the powder.

Is a really nice hotel and the rooms are clean and pretty. It's in a great area so you can walk to Lincoln mall and the beach with in minutes. You can use the pool and gym from a nicer hotel, which is 2 min away. The breakfast is okay but not excellent.

The hotel looks nothing like the pics online. It looks more like a motel than a hotel. I'm not a very picky person, but I felt like I was staying at a Motel 6. The pool area was nice, but it's not really a pool, but a huge bathtub. The whole pool was a little over 2ft. The staff was very friendly though.

Great value and good location
We recently visited Sanctuary South Beach for 3 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The reviews on here are correct. Both the good and the bad. The hotel location is ideal. 2 blocks to the beach and 2 blocks from Lincoln Rd. The hotel room was quite spacious and would actually be considered a small suite in my book. The layout of the room and hotel are great. The hotel however, does need some updating. The furniture in the living area was worn with holes, cabinets didn't quite shut properly, and the door knob on our bathroom was falling off. With a few updates this hotel would surely deserve a solid 4 however, for the price we paid and the location I would absolutely stay here again. Bed was comfy, the upstairs pool area was small, yet clean and quaint. This isn't a large hotel so I wouldn't expect a larger pool anyway. Unless you are willing to pay Ritz prices this hotel is a great option.

Somethings are just unacceptable
The couch was peeling off, as well as the bathtub. Some of the staff like Luis at the front desk was very courteous and helpful but most of the staff was not very professional. My room had garbage in it from the previous guests and even after complaining about it the garbage was still there when I came back from the beach. Great location and I liked the bed. If you want umbrellas on beach you will have to pay $20 per umbrella, even though you are already paying a resort fee. I would not stay there again.

Lovely stay
We only stayed for two nights so didn't have time to use pool but overall was nice clean friendly only had a small problem when a light bulb stopped working it was fixed very quickly room was cleaned each day breakfast was fab there was 3 diff cereals yoghurt bread rolls pastries cakes a waffle pan so you can make them fresh overall had a lovely stay the morning receptionist was very friendly and help full only negative no parking but we paid $60 for to nights just across the road are felt very safe
