She explained the history of the 1904 hotel and it's famous (or infamous) former occupants. Close to many dining options. It was functional to shower and sleep and placed in the center of Homestead which made it easy to get to the nearby parks. As mentioned in previous reviews: the noise from the restaurant (especially on the weekends) and the hallway in general really travels and is quite disruptive. If you are looking for more comfortable and relaxing accommodations spend the extra 30/40 for an actual hotel room. ##### Sarah P. Christine was very friendly and helpful, providing suggestions for dining, sightseeing and providing glasses and ice bucket so we could have beverages in our room. The hotel was quaint but was clearly remodeled inexpensively: there was no lamp or bedside table by the bed; no shelf in the shower for soap or shampoo, so we had to put those items on the shower floor. Light could be seen all the way around the door to the hallway as no door trim had been installed. A single serve coffee pot was provided, but coffee had to be purchased from a vending machine and no sugar or creamer was provided. Those items would've been nice. We loved the balcony access from our room and enjoyed sitting on the common balcony and watching the neighborhood. thank you! ##### Kimberley A.
