Dates now open for fall stays! This charming cabin is right on the water of beautiful Horseshoe Lake (Sandbar) in the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area. It is close to Crosslake, Nisswa, Breezy Point and Gull Lake and is one of Minnesota's best kept secrets. This is the closest you'll get to Maui while in Minnesota with an expansive sand beach and crystal clear waters! Situated on 150 feet of pristine shoreline also referred to as “The Gold Coast” by locals, this cabin is just steps from the water. It also offers plenty of privacy with almost 2 wooded acres and a beautiful nature pond in the rear of the property. All of this just 2 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities. This cabin is loaded with charm and we have recently completed a whole house renovation with many upgrades. 3 bedrooms on the main level all have newly installed LVP flooring, rugs, paint, Queen sized beds with pillow top mattresses and bedding as well as charming decor and furniture. Each main floor bedroom now includes a smart TV and black-out window shades. Large full bathroom on the main level has tile floors, large vanity & mirror, tile shower surround and is modern and bright. Large Kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a new 4 door refrigerator with ice, new high efficiency dishwasher, reverse osmosis water system, as well as newly installed luxury vinyl plank floors. Kitchen includes small appliances, dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools - everything you need to make meals a breeze. Our cabin has a large dining room with plenty of seating and newly installed luxury vinyl plank floors. The main floor living room has a large leather sectional couch and separate seating area with plush chairs. Fresh paint, newly installed wood floors with plush area rugs, fresh and fun decor and a new 65” flat screen smart TV and DVD player. Quaint little sunroom with screened in porch over looks the lake and is a great place for your morning coffee. Board games, toys, books and DVD's are in the cabin in case of a rainy day or need for a break from the sunshine and water. Downstairs you'll find a bar and family room with plenty of seating and a smart TV. The bar has been updated with fresh furnishings and decor throughout. Sleeping room in the basement has 2 Full sized beds with pillow top mattresses, bedding and decor and can sleep four. 3/4 bath in the basement has a vanity, shower, and many other updates. Recently renovated laundry room with new LG extra large capacity and high efficiency washer & gas dryer. The cabin also has a new water softener and central air conditioning. Everything is updated, fresh and clean with a coastal/beach theme. We are excited to share our cabin at the lake. Beach front is where the beauty and fun is. Plenty of seating on the newly refinished covered and open decks boasting beautiful maintenance free decking. Brand new Polywood dining table with benches and chairs are the perfect place for lakeside dining including a cantilever umbrella for shade. Lounge chairs on the beach are there for soaking up the sun. Comfy oversized Homecrest chairs in the covered area are the perfect place to relax in the shade. S’mores and an evening fire are the perfect way to wind down at the beautiful fire pit with Adirondack chairs. There is plenty of room to roam and play. Catch fish right off the dock and swim in one of Minnesota's clearest lakes. Your kids will be able to build sandcastles galore in the beautiful sand beach with provided beach toys. And YES! The beach ALWAYS looks like the pictures! We also have a large dock with platform, ladder, stairs and benches as well as a swim platform for hours of jumping in the lake! The lake is also home to plenty of wildlife - bald eagles, loons, ducks, blue heron's, and hummingbirds. Surely a place where memories will be made! We love this cabin and hope that you will too. One of our favorite things to do is enjoy a spectacular sunrise on the deck with a cup of coffee while listening to the loons. Certainly a little piece of heaven by the water! We do not rent for bachelor/bachelorette parties. \* Rates - $3950 per week (7 nights) during summer months. Check-in Saturday at 4 pm and Check-out the following Saturday 11 am. An extra $50/person per night is charged for groups over 10 people. Prior approval must be obtained from owners for additional guests. Cash/check payments are welcome. \*We only rent by the week, Saturday to Saturday, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. \*For stays starting Memorial Day weekend - the Friday of Memorial Day weekend is included free of charge. We usually stay in Crosslake on the chain, but when we found this place, we couldn’t pass up giving it a try! With three littles under 3, the sand beach and proximity to the beach without stairs (right out the back door!) was ideal! The lake was quiet most days and had great fishing! The cabin was very well stocked (especially the kitchen), great seating options for all inside and outside, and the owners were very responsive with a small issue we had our arrival day. Lots of wildlife sightings everyday which was fun! We brought our boat, and had great space to tie up on the dock for the week. The dock is so nice and felt safe/secure for grandparents and littles. We spent a lot of time outside and in the sunroom and screened in porch overlooking the lake! Cabin’s decor was lake themed throughout and done very well. Lake was clear water and low traffic which made it so easy for us to enjoy swimming, tubing and fishing. We had no complaints about our experience and loved every minute we spent at the property. The "cabin" is even nicer than advertized -- decorated exceptionally well. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space for family to spread out. The beach and dock area is fantastic, and the home and deck are very close to the water -- closer than indicated on the pictures. The large table and umbrella on the deck were an unexpected bonus. The dock had plenty of space to dock the boat. We had so much fun at the beach and boating that we did not fish much, so can't comment on the fishing. Family enjoyed lots of water activities including fishing, swimming, water skiing, tubing, knee boarding and paddle boarding. This cabin was so well laid out and stocked. It has an amazing beach super close to the cabin making it awesome for families with kids. The sandy beach and clear lake right outside the door made it easy for the adults and children to have a good time. The grandchildren loved the sand toys provided. They spent many happy hours in the water. You could sit in the sun or in the shade and still be on the beach. The home is beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of room for the 8 adults and 5 grandchildren to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need and having another full-size refrigerator downstairs was very convenient. The only thing missing was a dishwasher which wasn't a big deal. We roasted marshmallows every night sitting around the fire pit. We saw Bald Eagles everyday! We had an outstanding time. We had an amazing week at The Little Maui in Minnesota. Rachael and William have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The house is laid out really nice and was perfect for our large family…8 adults and 5 kids. There were lots of places to spread out and relax. The basement bar area was super convenient-- it was nice to be able to go in and out from the beach to grab drinks and snacks and not have to worry about tracking sand all over the house. We were amazed with the well-stocked kitchen—seriously had EVERTHING we needed. Everything was well organized and we had no trouble finding whatever we needed for cooking our meals. And I cannot say enough about the sandy beach and clear lake – just gorgeous!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful experience working with Rachael and William—we will definitely be back! ##### Ann H. We had a wonderful relaxing week full of family fun. The house was beautifully decorated and had all amenities. We particularly enjoyed the sandy beach and clear shallow water for the little ones. The firepit with the adirondack chairs was comfy for all. The owners thought of everything, including movies, games and books. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. Great location with Nisswa, Breezy Point, Crosslake & Brainerd close by. ##### Mary S. From the minute we walked in the cabin we felt at home! The cabin had outstanding decor and had everything we needed to stay the week! The bedrooms were very spacious and lots of storage for us to unpack for the week. Everyone from the kids to the adults enjoyed laying in the beach chairs and swimming in the clear lake. There was good fishing right off the dock and out on the lake. At the end of every night we enjoyed the bonfire pit. The owners were great to work with and even sent back a shirt with our deposit. Without a doubt I would highly recommend staying at a Little Maui! We look forward to coming back! ##### Roshelle V.
