J'ai hérité d'une chambre sans fenêtre et sans clim avec une chaleur épouvantable, avec un lit dont le tête n'a cessée de taper contre le mur et avec un ploc ploc incessant dû à une fuite dans la douche. Showed him the cigarette butts, cockroaches I'd killed and he shrugged & said not my problem in Spanish. Pool is drained. " breakfast" was a loaf of bread that had been pawed through and the filthiest toaster ever seen. Coffee cups dirty. I would have checked out immediately but it was late. I decided to stay a night and it was a huge disappointment. The pictures online have the best colors and I'm sure they are photoshoped. When I arrived the girl at the desk was very nice but the facilities weren't in good condition. The chairs were stained, the room was tidy but not clean. The AC too old and loud, no cable TV but you don't really need it because Merida is so beautiful you would want to be out! The towels were old! And the room door has cracks where little lizards sneak in. The continental breakfast was very simple and poor only toast and mermelade. The freshly squeezed orange juice saved it! which was the best part of my stay. Sin embargo, al llegar, el recepcionista dijo que no había una reservación a mi nombre (aunque yo tenía el comprobante impreso) y que no tenía habitaciones disponibles; reclamé y me dijo que no era su problema. La atención en recepción fue pésima. A eso hay que sumar que el hotel no corresponde con las fotos publicadas aquí, en las fotos se ve pintoresco, en la realidad está descuidado, sucio y hay cucarachas incluso en la recepción. A rather crusty welcome, and skip the advertised pool (very small). Basic breakfast of wonderbread, a toaster, orange juice, and coffee. But very close to the historic downtown, and it's in a much quieter neighbourhood than hotels and hostels closer to downtown. The neighborhood looks a bit worse than it really is, but is completely safe given that the police station is almost directly across the street. The proximity to the station also means that you can leave your car parked on the street where it will be perfectly safe till 6am (have to move it afterward due to traffic laws). This is especially convenient if you plan to head out early -- all the public parking lots open at 8am. ##### IC ### 2/10 Terrible #### yosa, japan Dec 31, 2013 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### 最悪だった 場所はソカロから4ブロックと、不便な場所ではない。安い。それ以外、いいところなし。 まず、三ヶ月前に予約し、支払いを済ませていたのに、ホテルに着いたら、予約リストに挙がっていなかった。 必死に説明し、予約番号を伝えて、不承不承の態で鍵をくれた。 鍵を差し込むも鍵は開かず。何度試しても分からない。 唯一の受付兼スタッフであるお爺さんは、私たちと同様に予約の上手く入っていなかった韓国人の対応(もめてた？)をしていたが、鍵を開けるためにその場を離れてくれ(ごめんなさい)、鍵を開けてくれた。 部屋には入れたが、非常にかび臭い。 蒸し暑いのにエアコンもなし。(使えない使われていないエアコンはあった) 部屋の照明も薄暗く気分が滅入る。 再度部屋を出ると、また鍵のトラブル。ドアを閉めたが、鍵がかかっているのか閉まっているのか分からない。自力では鍵を開けることができず、再度、お爺さんに説明のために来てもらう。 ようやく分かる。 就寝時は気温も落ち着き、エアコンなく過ごせたが、部屋がカビ臭く、何か出てきそうで、よく眠れなかった。 隣の建物の室外機？がうるさい。 翌朝、早々とチェックアウト。 鍵返却時、お爺さんが素敵な笑顔でadiosと言って、握手を求めてきてくれた。 驚くほど気持ちのいい笑顔だった。 部屋の快適さを求めなければ、ユニークなホテルである。 ##### yosa ### 4/10 Poor #### Blanca, Colorado Nov 10, 2013 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities #### Bottom of the Barrel The hotel needs lots up keep. Unser Zimmer im EG war groß, aber dunkel und dreckig; die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren nicht sauber. Bei dieser Buchung war das Frühstück inkl., das aus Toast, Butter, Erdbeermarmelade, O-Saft und dünnem, lauwarmen Kaffee bestand. Das Geschirr war auch nicht gründlich gewaschen. Das Personal hat nur Spanisch gesprochen, war jedoch nett und hilfsbereit, auch wenn man mit Händen und Füßen kommunizieren musste. ##### Verified traveller
