It is heart warming to know that there are still a handfull of cozy, knotty-pine paneled cabins here like the one I grew up in. This place was completely charming — big stone fireplace, beamed ceilings with skylights, large deck overlooking the water, lots of windows for natural light. The kitchen was great but could have used some wine glasses and other glassware, and the oven was difficult to figure out. Also, the gas grill was out of gas when we arrived, but the manager sent someone out to replace it the next day. The location is fantastic. Lovely forest property looking out at the most beautiful lake in the northeast. Close to the town of Meredith with its shops and restaurants. I sure hope no one ever tears down this little gem to make way for a luxury vacation McMansion, as is happening elsewhere throughout the lakes region. ##### Michael N. Sep 24, 2023 #### Great location Stayed mid September for a week.. The location is close to Meredith by boat which is great. Beds were comfy. Plenty of clean bath towels provided. Fireplace inside was awesome. We only used the microwave. The toaster was not clean and smelled bad. Kitchen drawers were messy and unorganized. Basement linen closet was a mess. The dresser drawers in 2nd bedroom upstairs didn't close properly. All in all this is a lovely house but needs more attention to cleanliness and neatness. Also would be nice to have a clear path to the dock. I did request a portable air conditioner because I have breathing issues, and they did come thru with that request as well as an additional fan. Very much appreciated! When I spoke to Vacasa they told me this house had no heat and was heated by the fireplace only. We were very happy to find out this was not true. There WAS a thermostat! And we put it to good use during the 50 degree nights! I suggest the owners make sure Vacasa has the right info to share with guests and ensure housekeeping does a better job cleaning and better organization of the kitchen. ##### Arthur P.
