We've lived & raised our family here for 18 years and it’s our favorite part of Memphis, a beautiful example of poverty and affluence living side by side. You might meet some of our International Community, see urban gardens, colorful artwork, and eccentric neighbors. We're a short drive (or a long walk) from one of the best zoos in the nation, Overton Park (with walking/running trails, dog park, playgrounds & more). Broad Ave arts district is a 2 minute drive and worth checking out. City & State is great for coffee and gifts, Wiseacre for craft beers, Sugar Ghost for ice cream & boba tea, Broadway Pizza, & Liquor Store for a meal out and lots more. This apartment has an outside door for access (from the driveway). Feel free to spend time in the courtyard & backyard. Parking is available on the street in front of our house (well-lit, low traffic). This guest suite is connected to the back of our family’s home - private & inaccessible from others. Parking is available on our low-traffic, well-lit street and shared access to our spacious fenced-in backyard (great for pets) as well as a courtyard with table & chairs. \*\*Bedroom: Comfy medium memory foam queen bed with fluffy hypoallergenic feather down fiber comforter, smart TV with local channels, cozy pleather chairs, clothing rack, full-size ironing board, office nook with desk & chair \*\*Kitchenette: Bistro table with chairs, fridge/freezer has cold water & ice waiting, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, local organic coffee, hot water kettle & tea, French press, dishes, silverware and cabinets for storage. Bar cart with wine glasses, lowballs, martini glasses, cocktail accessories and shaker \*\*Bathroom: large walk-in shower with handheld shower head, single vanity, towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo provided Our home is located right off Poplar ave, the main thoroughfare through Memphis, and Sam Cooper (connects with I-40). Bus stops are close by on Poplar and Hollywood (check Go@gle Maps for transit directions). Uber & Lyft are great options for travel in Memphis. This studio was freshly renovated in 2025\. It was our first Airbnb opened in 2016, formerly known as "Comfy & Close" in its previous iteration. The location and layout are the same but with a bold new look and additional amenities. We provide a 10% discount for 3-4 night stays and 15% off for 5 and longer. Our lowest rates can be found by booking direct (search Airbuild Memphis). Ask about our premium welcome packages—complimentary for 4 night stays during the week and 2-night weekends: “Luxury Arrival Package” – upon your arrival you’ll find a stocked bar with a selection of spirits, mixers, and local craft beer, plus snacks. A great way to start your trip in style. “Work & Wind Down Package” – For business travelers, we offer coffee, OJ, and breakfast essentials in the morning, plus a stocked bar for relaxing in the evening. “Personalized Bar Package” –Choose your preferred drinks in advance, so the bar is stocked with your favorites upon arrival. “Romantic Getaway Package” – A bottle of wine or champagne, a stocked bar, and a selection of chocolates for couples visiting Memphis. Your stay provides a living wage for a refugee family who lives in the neighborhood and provides the housecleaning. Also, we donate a percentage of the profit from your stay to nonprofits that connect people in need with temporary housing. Thank you for staying with us! If booking for 3 guests, let us know ahead of time and we will provide an airbed and bedding (only available for 3 guests) Don’t worry about disturbing anyone during your stay, an insulated buffet plus a room with closed doors separates your apartment from our home and we won’t hear a thing. There will be a $15 pet fee per stay for extra cleanup often required. This is in addition to the regular rate and will go through Airbnb. There is an additional $15 fee for over 2 pets that can be paid through the app. We provide local, organic coffee, tea, sugar & creamer with a French press & standard drip coffee maker. Memphis water comes from underground aquifers & has gone through a natural filtering process then is further treated to obtain a product that ranks among the finest in the world. A cold refillable bottle is in the fridge for you. While our cancellation policy is set as strict, reach out to us if plans change. We usually are able to provide a full refund if someone else books your dates. The following does NOT apply to reservations made on Airbnb (who has their own vetting & resolution process). For all other booking platforms, guests are required to complete our pre-arrival process including a photo of a valid ID, signing our rental conditions, and submitting a valid credit or debit card to be pre-approved for a security deposit (card will not be charged just authorized in case of damage or rule violation). The outside had a good-sized yard for our dogs and included several patio areas. It is very close to the Memphis Zoo and we found several good eateries nearby on Madison Street.
