This area felt safe and it was just a short walk to the incredible coastline and beaches as well as a beautiful botanical garden. The train station is also only a few blocks away that will take you right into downtown Melbourne. The rooms are a bit dated but reasonably priced for the lovely area close to the Yacht Club. The rooms have great views, and the studio room we stayed in was well equipped with kitchenette, fridge, dishes, dining and lounge areas. The beds are really comfortable. The bedroom area can be closed off from the rest of the room, making it dark and quiet. We did not hear the Karaoke going on at the end of the hall !!
