Nice motel - particularly was happy with the instant hot water and great shower pressure which sometimes you don't get in small country town motels. Great stay!

We found the owners to be very friendly and helpful. We spent a few nights here with our dog and had a lovely, peaceful sojourn.

The people were nice and helpful. Simple rooms, but functional. However the room had a funny smell, the crockery and cutlery were dirty and the outside lights were on all night, which flooded though the top of the curtains, and made it difficult to sleep.

Thank you for acknowledging the helpful staff. Unsure what the funny smell was, if the cutlery was dirty? this will be followed up by management, outside lights on for security purposes and some light does seep, not flood, into room. These comments are more useful at the time of your stay rather than after you have left so any issues can be addressed at the time.

Glad to see you enjoyed our beautiful location! Sorry about the bed ... but it's a "Goldilocks" situation... it clearly wasn't "just right" but was it too hard? Too soft? We encourage all to let us know issues while still on site - we'd love to do something to assist when we can. Hopefully you'll find it better on your next visit! Thanks for the feedback!

Great spot right in the town. Easy to walk to places. Room was clean and warm, bed was comfy; customer response was great! I made a comment about how mugs would be better than teacups, and not enough teabags. By the time we returned to our room, there were two mugs, full of tea bags and extra milk. Negative points: only small things, like my pillow was lumpy, inconvenient plug points - only first world problems!!

Sad to say, in my room the freezer in the fridge doesn’t work which I needed to freeze the ice pack so that I can keep my medication cool during traveling. I was thankful that it was a cold and rainy day and also it was last day of holiday, so it was not too much an issue, wouldn’t like that to happen on my first day of my holiday.

The main bed was super comfy but the room is very tired looking. Clean bathroom and bedding. Unfortunately there was a fight that happened at the pub next door that went on for about 2 hours when we were trying to sleep, involving some of the motel guests which led the argument back to the motel. This situation is not the motel’s fault. The Manager lives on site but I didn’t think to call as it was late. It was just unfortunate timing and being next to a pub is something to consider. We probably wouldn’t stay here again just because of the pub being next door and my children and husband and I got a fright from this incident. Meeniyan though is a MUST visit and stay.

Place was clean, well appointed (had a kitchen and full size fridge). A bit dated but everything was in working order. Service was prompt and courteous. Happy to stay again.

Unless the buildings were torn down there is little more that we can do to update our rooms and our landlord would not agree to this.
