Arrived, in a blizzard, just a few minutes after the designated check-in time only to find TC Motel doesn't actually have an office in their building. You're directed to go across the street, in a blizzard, and get a room at the TC Motel from the EconoLodge desk. But, there was no one at the desk when I arrived - after driving thorough a blizzard to get there at the check-in time advertised. Another client of theirs was on his 3rd visit to the desk as he couldn't get his room key to open his suite - in a BLIZZARD! No one answered the phone number I had for the TC Motel. The business cards for the EconoLodge manager were printed with a number that was no longer in service. The 1-800 customer service number I called was completely useless as they just referred me to another department that wouldn't answer unless you'd already checked in and were given a code to punch into your phone. I was there for a FUNERAL! My sister had DIED! They KNEW IT! I have a HUGE family and LOTS of friends in Medicine Hat. EVERYONE knows NOT to refer their guests to TC Motel or the EconoLodge next door! The room was spotless upon check in and cleaning staff returned every morning and did a great job. The manager had upgraded my room to kitchenette free of charge and put me on the econolodge side as well which was great, and the continental breakfast every morning was good. My kids were happy there was a pool and hot tub and I was glad there was also a fitness room. All the staff were very kind and courteous and always willing to answer questions or help in any way possible. Was terrible staying here. There was a lot of drug addicts roaming the hallways 24 hours a day and throughout the parking lot there were drug deals going on. The staff was very rude and inconsiderate. The owner refuses to pay back the deposit based on there being stains on the carpet. I was there all of 2 days and slept there. One night my shower was broken. I could not use the bathtub or the shower for the two days I was there.
