With 6 bedrooms (5 conforming), the house sleeps 14 comfortably (without even using sofas)! Relax in the hot tub or outdoor sauna, then enjoy a meal at the oversized outdoor table or sip wine around the firepit. Inside you'll love the open floor plan and large kitchen. Downstairs is a second living room and separate game room with pinball, foosball, and arcade game. Plus, pet friendly! The home layout is as follows: Main level: \- Private back deck with brand new dining table for 10 and lounge area with propane firepit and gas grill (propane provided for both) \- Great room with large TV and electric fireplace, open to dining area and kitchen \- Dining table seats 8, plus 4 more at the bar \- Kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. Ground coffee and k-cups provided. \- BR1: Master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom \- BR2: King bedroom \- BR3: Queen bedroom \- Hallway full bath with shower/tub combo Lower level: \- Lower deck features brand new hot tub and sauna \- Additional living room with oversized sleeper couch, 65" TV, and game table \- Game room with pinball machine, foosball table, and arcade game \- BR4: Bunk bedroom with 4 custom-built bunk beds, each with a full size mattress. Plus, shuffleboard table and electronic dart game \- BR5: King bedroom \- BR6: Additional bunk room with full bed on top, 2 twins on bottom \- Full bath with shower/tub combo \- Laundry room with full size washer and dryer Things to do nearby: The house is about a 7 minute drive to the slopes, pool, and dining at Massanutten, 4 minutes to the spa, and just 5 minutes to the indoor/outdoor Waterpark. The Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park is 15 minutes away with some of the best hiking on the east coast. JMU and everything else in Harrisonburg is 20 minutes away, and there are several breweries, wineries, and restaurants within 15-20 minutes of the house. Other things to note \- DreamVale Chalet is pet friendly! We allow up to 4 pets with a $100 pet fee (total, not per pet or per night). \- We provide our guests $1500 of coverage for accidental damage to the property or its contents. The cost of this is already embedded in the cleaning fee. \- Massanutten offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course / zip line, golfing, go carts, mini golf, and much more. \- There is a flat, circular driveway that can fit 3-4 vehicles, plus 2 more parking spaces right in front of the house along the street \- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and decks. All 6 bedrooms, plus both living rooms and game room, feature smart TVs where you can access all the main streaming services. \- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options \- Guests can enjoy community pool access in the summer season for a $6 per person fee. \- Linens and towels provided \- Pack n play, high chair, and kid dishes/utensils provided Lastly, this property is located within an HOA that requires the community rules to be posted here, so here are those rules: WELCOME TO MASSANUTTEN! This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, second-home owners and other guests enjoying their retreat. NOISE • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM. • Keep noise indoors during these hours. • No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents. PARKING • Keep all tires off the road. • Don't block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from your host. • Park only in designated areas or overflow lot (4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840) • No buses, campers, or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with written approval from your host. OUTDOOR FIRES • High wildfire risk area! • No open fires. • No unattended fires. • No firepit use during quiet hours (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM). • Firepits and grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions, check MassanuttenVillage.com or electronic sign at entrance for updates. ALCOHOL No open containers on roads or in common areas. PETS • Leash always required when outside. • Clean up after your pets. TRASH • Do not place garbage/trash outside, including screened-in porches, decks or carports. Tips for a Happy Hot Tub \- Be sure to unclip the hot tub cover before removing it. \- Please do not put anything besides people in the hot tub (like mulch or toys). \- If the water level doesn’t cover the jets, you can use the hose to add water. Please disconnect the hose when done, especially in cold weather when it could freeze. \- Always put the cover on the hot tub when not in use - this keeps the hot tub warm & filled with water. Using the plastic clips helps keep it from blowing off. \- For safety reasons, please don’t add chemicals to the hot tub yourself. If the water looks murky or has a smell, let us know, and we'll have our hot tub expert come by to treat it. \- Do not drain the hot tub. \- There's no need to turn off the hot tub. The house was exactly as pictured. It was a group of 10 of us staying there for 4 days and 3 nights, so we did end up running out of toilet tissue on our last night there. I would just recommend having extra toilet tissue in each of the bathrooms. The master bathroom had like 4 extra rolls but it went it fast during our stay. Apart from that, everything was great! The house was super clean, the kitchen had enough pots and pan to cook with, so that was wonderful. I was in there at the end of October and utilized the deck space to sit around the fire pit. We had to use the leaf blower to clear out all the leaves on the deck and on the furniture. Overall, had a tremendous time during my stay there, would highly recommend and will return in the future! ##### Tiffany M. Things were pretty clean when we arrived, bedding felt fresh, there were ample towels and well equipped kitchen. So many fun things to explore and do around the house. A few things to note: some communication comes from the agency that runs the property, not in your Vrbo inbox. As a result I, for some reason, didn’t not receive the specific check-in instructions and code. Communication with the host was simple and prompt though, just be careful because signal is not always great in and around the area. The exterior landscaping could use some TLC for sure, the grill works, but it’s pretty beat, the pinball machine is super cool, but the lights and scoring, we’re not functioning, the record player and cassette deck are super neat as well, but the record player didn’t have a needle, and there were only two cassettes. All that said, I’d stay here again for sure. Comfortable, clean, spacious, great location! ##### Craig R. There was more than enough space for our group of 12 (6 Adults & 6 Children). The location was perfect for enjoying the resort. Séjour de 3 nuits en mai 2025 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Pam K., WI 5 avr. 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Great place to stay, just not the best for cooking I would love to be able to give a 4.5 for the stay, so please read the comments and know that overall it was a good place to stay overall!Positives - near Shenandoah, clean, comfortable beds and a pretty good layout (3 bedrooms/2 baths up, 3 bed and 1 bath down). There are TV rooms on each floor and plenty of fun things to do while at the house - the hot tub and sauna were both big hits.Negatives - this was a very difficult house to prepare meals in. So if you are planning to eat out it's not an issue. While the kitchen at first appears well stocked with tons of dishes, silverware and cookware, there were almost no pans that were in good condition. This is probably not the owners fault - I know that many guests don't take care of these items. But it felt like rather than tossing things that weren't usable they have just piled up and we had to dig through to find one to clean and use. Second, the dishwasher is not properly installed and falls out if you pull out a fully loaded bottom rack (which when you have 8 people is EVERY TIME). Again, I've seen this at other VRBO's and seems like basic maintenance that they could address. Third, we set off the smoke detector every time we cooked. Like, every time. With the fan on. With the windows open. There is a unit in the kitchen maybe 10 ft from the stove. It's just going to happen. And finally, it's just a tight kitchen to work in - which was doable for cooking for 8 but would be hard if you have full occupancy ##### Pam K. The house was perfect for our group. We had a great night hanging out playing games and enjoying the hot tub and the sauna. If we’re back in the area we would definitely stay here again. ##### K H. We reseached many homes and chose this one because of the location and size in accommodating all of us in one location. We were NOT disappointed at all. From the ease of moving in to the home to all the fine details of the home it was a great time had by all. My husband and I were contacted by them to see if we wanted to extend our time or arrive early. We chose to arrive early and get things ready prior to the children and grandchildren arriving. That was a great surprise and worked out beautifully. We woke on our first morning to see several deer in the back yard and around the house. How special that was ! On our final day our one granddaughter was so sad and made the statement that she did not want to leave the house. Thanks for a great time had by all. ##### Lois G.
