Our guests can make themselves at home, staying 100% private. You are welcome to bring crackers to feed the goats. We have new babies born in march every year! The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The bed was extremely comfortable. The fireplace made the whole place so cozy, we were worried coming up in January with all the glass that it would be chilly, but it was nice and warm. So fun being on the farm with animals in all directions. Stunning views in the morning, beautiful sunset and star watching in the evening. Great proximity to Hocking Hills. Also close to Nelsonville, Wellston and Athens. Recommendation for guests who are sensitive to water would be bringing bottles or jugs, as I’m assuming the property does not have a softener. It was a cute place but was lacking towels and wash clothes like advertised. Better to take your own. The ones they also had there were small size. It had two small towels and one washcloth. I loved the simplicity of just being still and soaking in the peaceful surroundings — plus, the animals were absolutely hilarious! Surrounded by nature and nature sounds with birds, goats, a rooster crowing, and the hosts super friendly dogs! We were even joined by a friendly Tom turkey. We love animals and this was right up our alley. I sat by the campfire( wood provided) and picked guitar and we sang songs until the wee hours. The goats were super friendly and there is a sliding glass door that if you leave open, a cat will come in and make herself at home. Séjour de 2 nuits en mars 2025 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Magdalena, Aurora 24 mars 2025 The pictures show what looks like a secluded cabin but in reality, you pull up to this driveway with another house and a barn, broken down trailer. Once you're inside the views in the back are very nice, but the property itself is not very inviting. The main thing was the heater wasn't warm enough we were freezing at night and especially in the morning. The firepit did not work it was blowing out the cold air. Also the fan and the ceiling around the whole house were very dusty. I think there's a well water because the shower smelled pretty bad. It was just perfect for the 2 of us.
