Relax at a family condo that sleeps 4 w/ ocean view.. A fabulously furnished 2nd floor condominium at Kepuhi Beach Resort. The condo has a private lanai is covered for shade, allowing you to relax, watch the sunset over the channel. The oceanfront pool and barbecue area are a short walk from the condominium. In the Winter, whales can be seen breaching in the channel. The condominium comes with a fully furnished kitchen, a flatscreen TV in each bedroom and a 43 inch flat screen TV in the main room with cable, and Roku, and free WiFi (upstairs TV has only Roku). Each bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, a closet and a dresser, a bathroom with a tub/shower is provided on both floors (shower only on first floor), and a private washer/dryer. What's nearby: Kepuhi Beach Resort is an oceanfront property on the West end of the island of Moloka'i, with grounds that include an oceanfront swimming pool, gas grills with picnic tables, and a market with trinkets and food to purchase. Kepuhi Beach and surfing spot Kepuhi Point are right in front of the resort (formerly the Sheraton - now shuttered), great for surfing in the winter months, ideal for swimming and snorkeling come summer. The location is short distance from Papohaku Beach, one of the longest white sand beaches in the state of Hawaii. Papahaku beach is better for swimming in summer, as Winter swells and surf are less conducive to water activities. Kepuhi Beach Resort is less than a mile from Make Horse and its many tidepools, seven miles northwest of the town of Maunaloa (the only town on the west end), and 20 miles west of Kaunakakai, where most grocery stores, art/gift shops, mini markets, restaurants, and equipment rentals are located. Kepuhi Resort is just 12 miles from the airport. And the island-wide evening quiet hours (10:00 PM) make Molokai perfect people wanting to relax and experience Hawaii away from the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds. We were up until 3 AM washing all the bedding and trying to contain the situation. I contacted VRBO, who got in touch with the owner, but we had to take and send photos just to prove there was a problem.This ordeal completely ruined three days of our vacation. We had to take extreme precautions when moving to our next rental and returning home just to ensure we didn’t bring the bed bugs with us. It was stressful and exhausting. This was our first time ever encountering bed bugs, and it was traumatizing.Yes, we received a full refund, but the physical bites on our legs, arms, and faces lingered for over a week. That refund doesn’t begin to make up for the stress, discomfort, and lost vacation time.Also worth noting—the condo layout is awkward, with oversized furniture crammed into a small space, making it feel cluttered and impractical.Tip: Check everything before settling into a rental. The resort shares some space with the old abandoned Sheraton resort, so some of the surrounding buildings have been fenced off, but it just adds to the quirkiness that embodies Molokai. Love Molokai and this condo is great if your are looking for 2bed/2bath at a bargain price . It needs a few housekeeping repairs (burnt out bulbs, screen on the front door). To have an ocean view from the property was perfect. The sunset was spectacular! The property itself was not very clean. Lots of dust and cobb webs. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and worn. The beds had to be padded. The internet was sporadic and only one TV worked. The condo had wonderful furniture, lots of places to sit, TV, a refrigerator (with an ice maker!), a washer & dryer, a dish washer etc. All these wonderful amenities make for a really wonderful and relaxing vacation. A nice big cooler and a soft side travel cooler were also provided. They do need new beach chairs, as the ones there are old and worn. But, you will not find a more beautiful, roomy condo in this area. I highly recommend this rental. You will love it. ##### Beth R.
