NEWLY RENOVATED POOL 2025!

Tired of long ferry lines and crowded beaches? You should head on down to Matagorda, Texas. “Island Time" condo is located on the beach in the Bahia de Matagorda gated community. It has amazing unobstructed ocean views. You can walk over the dunes or drive a short 3 minutes to the beach. Come enjoy the community pool, multiple fishing spots, and of course the beautiful beach!

"Island Time" is a 1300 sq. ft. condo that sleeps 8 comfortably. There are two bedrooms on the 2nd floor with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds plus a bathroom with a tub/ shower combo. On the 3rd floor there is a loft bedroom with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds plus a bathroom with a tub/ shower combo. Both TVs have Netflix and Disney+ accounts. Free Wi-Fi is also available.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Keurig K-Duo slow drip or pods coffee maker. A charcoal grill is provided and may only be used on the ground level. There is a large 2nd floor balcony with a picnic table and four outside chairs. A smaller balcony is located on the 3rd floor with two chairs.

There is coin laundry by the community pool.

All renters must be at least 25 years old
No pets
No events or parties No smoking or vaping inside the house
No access to the garage

Ocean was somewhat visible at this location. Nice area. Hard to find entrance area as the stretch of road is very dark. A landmark with some reflective sign would be helpful as you enter this neighborhood. The condo was very nice. Bed was very comfortable and this is coming from a person who has had spine surgeries. A great place to stay.

Everything was fine but the weather! We couldn't even see the water the first day. And we left early because of the fear of ice storms. But, our host did offer us a different weekend before time so it definitely was not an issue with them.We did enjoy our day of sitting on the couch and bibge watching TV!!

This is the BEST beach condo in Matagorda TX. It was immaculately clean. The place actually looks like the pictures. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had what I needed to cook meals. The view was the best and our favorite part of the whole trip. We watched the sun rise every morning. I have no complaints at all. The pool was newly renovated and perfect. My kids had so much fun swimming. Check in was quick and the host was super friendly and responded quickly to my questions. Highly recommend!!!! (There were six of us).

Great property we really enjoyed our time communication was great. The only thing I wish would be different was a washer and dryer in the home rather than a community laundromat. The listing does say it’s coin laundry I just rather the convenience of having in home especially for a beach stay.

We very much enjoyed our time there. The home was well appointed, plenty of towels and kitchenware. The BBQ that is provided however, was a fire hazard with it being extremely rusted to the point of the legs no longer being level. But overall, it was great! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to rent it it!

Great vacation spot

The house was perfect for our needs. The location is great. Having the pool was nice when we wanted a break from the beach. My only suggestion to make it better would be to mow a proper path accross the dunes or build a walkway. The mesquitos were awful on that walk.

Reservation was for 4 nights / 5 days, only 10 towels were given for this stay which is unacceptable given we were at the beach daily. Who wants to shower with the same towel each night, most people shower nightly, just saying. Beds were SUPER uncomfortable, AC cut out at night, host said it cuts off to prevent freezing. We only put the AC on 70, so there is no reason for it to freeze up.

Location location location

This property was a perfect location for a short girls’ getaway at the beach. And all-in-all it was wonderful!! While the beach IS within walking distance from the condo, the dunes trail is hilly and uneven and is accompanied by a rather large swarm of aggressive mosquitoes! Like, terrible mosquitoes! The hosts do have bug spray available but we were absolutely bombarded by the pests anytime we were on the ground level of the property until we got to the water. We wished there had been a few extra towels provided including a dishtowel. Other than that, the beds were comfortable and the stay was pleasant!

Awesome Matagorda getaway!

We really enjoyed the Island Time condo! The community property with the lagoon and pool was very pleasant and had easy access to the beach. The decks had wonderful views of the ocean and were a great place to sit and watch the sunrise and moonrise over the water. The condo was clean and comfortable with separate areas for extended family. Thank you for a perfect stay!
