From the moment we arrived, Mario was incredibly welcoming — he met us personally, gave us a tour of the cottage, and was very responsive when we needed a light for the gas stove one day. He also arranged transportation to and from Fresh Creek Airport, as well as a rental car, which made the whole trip much smoother.The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and had all the basics we needed. Like others have mentioned, having our own washer and dryer was a big plus — we brought a couple of single-use detergent boxes from home, which worked out perfectly.We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a different unit, which came with both a screened-in porch and an open-air deck — great to have options depending on the weather (and the sand flies!). Some of our favorite moments were spent sitting outside after sundown, stargazing under the clear Andros sky.The location was ideal for exploring both the north and south parts of the island. We went during a quieter season, so some places were closed, but we ended up enjoying several meals at Brigadier’s — generous portions, good drinks, and very friendly service. There's also a nearby convenience store that’s surprisingly well-stocked; in hindsight, we would have checked there first for basic groceries.All in all, a peaceful and well-located stay with great hospitality. Both bedrooms have heat pumps, which made for comfortable sleeping even on warmer nights.The beach right outside is beautiful, and once the stairs and seawall are repaired, access will be even better. During our stay, we just had to take a short walk around a neighboring property to reach the beach, which wasn’t a problem at all.Just a heads-up: the listing mentions in-cabin laundry, but it’s actually located at a nearby laundromat. That said, all the essentials (wifi, tv, fridge, kettle, microwave, and stove) were in great working condition. The shower also had strong water pressure, which was a nice bonus.Overall I would recommend this as a place to relax and unwind."
