Our beautiful 4-bedroom house is in the City of Marina, Monterey Bay. To the south, a 20-minute drive gets you to historical Monterey Cannery Row, home of historic Fisherman's Wharf, the Monterey Bay Aquarium. 17-mile Drive, Pebble Beach, and its famed championship courses are 15 miles south. Enjoy Carmel Beach, historic Carmel Mission, numerous art galleries, restaurants, and boutique shops. The world-famous Big Sur coastal scenic Highway 1 drive is about 30 miles. Los Angles is about 300 miles away. To the North, enjoy the redwood forest, state beaches, and parks in Santa Cruz area 35 miles, 50-minute drive. Visit the Garlic City-Gilroy, a 45-minute drive. Experience Silicon Valley and San Francisco within 2- hour drive.The property off Del Monte Boulevard of Highway 1 and downtown Marina. Extremely convenient for shopping and dining. Guests are within a short drive from Marina State Beach and Fort Ord Dunes State Park, which are part of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. As one of our nation's most spectacular marine protected areas, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary offers some of the best wildlife viewings in the world!

Get away with my sons

My younger son is in school in Berkeley and my older son and I met him in Monterey. The house was perfect all the appliances, kitchen provided essentials and more. House was very clean and we could sense they care for the guests staying there. The location was perfect for easy access to Monterey and Carmel.

We had a lovely stay at this home and truly appreciated the thoughtful touches—especially the tray of goodies and the bottle of wine, which made us feel very welcome after a long trip. The space was comfortable for our family, and everything was well set up for a relaxing visit.While we didn’t have any direct communication with the host during our stay, it wasn’t necessary—the check-in process was smooth and everything we needed was clearly provided. One small note: the floors could’ve used a bit more attention, as we noticed they were not very clean and the blender had some stuff in it, so we couldn’t use it for our margaritas. And, the tree over the driveway could be trimmed a bit more to allow two cars to park in the driveway.Overall, we enjoyed our time and would consider staying again next time we’re in town. Thank you!

Big space for our family

Our family of 5 had plenty of space. Location was good for where we wanted to go: Carmel, Big Sur, and we drove to San Francisco after our stay. We also appreciated the on-property parking. Quiet neighborhood (other than the fireworks on July 4th!) We would definitely stay here again.

Nice spot and great house!

The house was very well taken care of and was in walking distance to cheap food, coffee, and groceries. Me and my 8 friends had a great time in the residence. The house is very well insulated so sound doesn’t travel much between bedrooms. The driveway was plenty big for 3-row SUV plus room for guests. The house nice touches too, such as extra blankets, dishware and utensils, and a bottle of wine.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Marina. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, but with good access to the main roads. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and the large kitchen and dining room was perfect for our group of seven adults. I would highly recommend this property to those wanting to explore Monterey Bay.

Loved the kitchen! Great place to stay with a group, very clean, spacious and good location, 3 minutes from a beach. Only recommendation is to have mirrors in the rooms, would have been very helpful with getting ready.Would stay again!

Nice place, we were comfortable

We rented this place for a short Thanksgiving trip with our daughter, her husband and 4 year old daughter, and our son. Unfortunately, our granddaughter developed pink-eye and she and her parents couldn't join us. Then our son ended not being able to join us for more than a day, so it ended just the two of us in this very nice, large place for 3 nights. We kind of rattled around in all that space, but it was very clean and comfortable, with fresh flowers on the table and plants in several rooms and a nice big kitchen, and the owners were very responsive.

Perfect for our reunion with 4 queen beds and a futon for additional single

The house proved ideal for 5 of us girlfriends from college days to gather. The open plan kitchen and adjacent large dining table and comfy couches easily accommodated us. This is not a chef’s kitchen and it is a bit older with tile countertops, but ideal for us. Generous refrigerator, great selection of coffees and teas, tons of counter space gave us breathing room. We used it as base camp to explore Carmel Valley and everything in between there and Marina. The neighborhood was safe. Parking for 4 vehicles was easy. Check in and check out instructions were clear and simple. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs sharing a full bath and 2 master suites upstairs (steep). The house is older but spotless. We didn’t have time to sit outside but it has plenty of seating. Of note, everyone found their mattresses to be very comfortable. The house was easy to set temperature on the thermostat and kept us comfortable. The few questions we asked were immediately answered. Zero reservations recommending this rental.

Charming house in a perfect location!

This house was utterly charming. I’ve stayed in many rentals that were fine, but decorated in gray, beige and white. I loved the personality of this one, vibrant with color and imagination! The garden was really beautiful and so relaxing and private. Close to the beach with great hiking and biking trails nearby, just ten minutes from Monterrey! Looking forward to returning!

Wonderful hosts!

This property was the best VRBO property I've stayed in! Not only was it beautiful, clean, and just as described, but there were also other great amenities. The other guests were right! Everything was very clearly labeled and all of the dishes and cookware were provided for us. We have 4 teenage boys so this was extremely helpful! We were able to cook and had everything we needed. The house was spotless when we showed up. And the yard looked beautiful. Thanks for letting us share your house!

Spacious and Clean

The home was far larger than we expected - a nice surprise! The host has all of the kitchen cabinets - and there are a lot of them - helpfully labeled. The gardens on the property are absolutely beautiful and the backyard is an impressive space. The location is convenient but it can get a bit noisy at night (at least the weekend we were there). Overall, it's a nice place for larger groups.

Nice place to stay

We were here only briefly but really enjoyed our stay. Since we travel rather heavily, but had to move quickly, the labeling in the kitchen and other places was very helpful. The house is spacious, and has three bathrooms and a large dining table - probably the largest among all the places we've ever rented. Driveway parking is easy. Monterey is less than 15 minutes away on a mostly scenic and easy freeway drive. Monterey is one of the few places I know where you can rent a surrey, and travel on a path near beaches, restaurants, and shops. There are also a range of restaurants very close to the house, probably walking distance for most people. The hosts were kind and communicative. I'm hoping we get to stay here again sometime, for a longer period of time.

2024 Girls Trip

This was our annual girls’ trip; 4 ladies over the age of 60. We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness of this rental. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds comfortable. While the weather wasn’t ideal for sitting outside, the patio was amazing with so many different and beautiful flowering succulents and plants. The location is ideal if you are planning to spend time in Monterey and Carmel. The owner/management team responded timely to all of our questions and the check-in process was very simple. We highly recommend this location.
