Schiestlhaus, Hochschwab, Styria, Austria 

Morning view south from Hochschwab summit (alt. 2.227 meters) in the middle of Hochschwab mountain range. It is the most northern part of Alps which rises over 2.000 meters of altitude. There are basically no lifts in the Hochschwab, so you can enjoy it in its natural state. In September the weather is quite stable (although quite windy and freezing in the morning in the top parts) and only few tourists which get such rewarding views for the pain of hiking it by own feet. "The apartment was a bit smaller than we anticipated from the pictures posted, however it was just what we needed for our time in Leoben! Great location for running, biking, and eating local. One recommendation to the host would be to provide an extra towel or two. While there was a washer/dryer, it would have been nice to have an extra available. "Wir waren mit der Unterkunft rundum zufrieden, das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Der Ablauf mit checkin und checkout war sehr angenehm und transparent. Sehr professionell. Lieferservice für Brötchen zum Frühstück wäre schön gewesen Eine zweite Garderobenleiste im Flur wäre schön gewesen"

"Also ich fange mal mit dem positiven an: Optisch ist es sehr schön und die Umgebung ist traumhaft. Badezimmer ist top. Außenanlage mit dem Hot Pot mit toller Aussicht ebenfalls Top.Für Hunde jedoch leider ungeeignet zum freilaufen und im Haus ist die Treppe ein Alptraum. Ich persönlich finde es auch für kleine Kinder nicht zumutbar. Das Licht im EG könnt heller sein, auch wenn es eine Romantik Hütte ist möchte man evtl. Lesen können oder in der Küche gute Beleuchtung haben zum kochen. Das Geschirr in der Küche war leider nicht sauber und generell sind uns im ganzen Haus Spinnweben aufgefallen. Ich finde es außerdem ein NO GO das die Vermieter auf einmal da stehen unangekünfigt.....Wenn beide Hütten belegt sind hatten wir ab und zu kein Wasser....Alles in allem eine schöne Hütte aber besser geeignet für junge Paare ohne Kind bzw. ohne Hund. "

"The staff of the reception was very kind, attentive, immediate action and ready to help with any question we had. For example at the checkin we asked for an iron and when we went to our room, the iron was there already. The staff during the breakfast was also very nice. The food was good. It is a good location. We were able to go for a nice walk + many facilities nearby. We have already plan to go back to the hotel next year. We hope in the future there will be a little fridge and a kettle in the room. We recommend the hotel to anyone going to Austria "

"The staff was very friendly, even though our room was not ready after 4pm. They then fixed it within 20+ minutes. In Expedia, it is mentioned that the center of town is 3 minutes away by car, but it is more like 10 minutes. And what is called a "mountain view" is a view on the parking lot."

"We enjoyed our short vacation there. There are a lot of hiking trails near by. The room was clean and fairly quite, the pool and steam sauna were nice, the mountains view was gorgeous, breakfast and dinner were delicious. I’d like to highlight the top quality service in the restaurant. The staff was amazing. Hope to visit this place again."
