What a unique find, it really was like stepping back in time, into history. The villa is located immediately off the main piazza of Manziana, entered through a secure gate with private car parking in the villa grounds. The welcome that we received and attention throughout our stay from all of the staff was warm and genuine, the room was tastefully decorated in a classic Italian antique style and the views over the well manicured gardens, and the woods, mountains and lakes beyond were just stunning. Each day started with a substantial Italian style breakfast. The villa is literally a stride from the local shops, a selection of restaurants and the train that operates hourly between Rome and Viterbo. We hope to return in the summer and enjoy your garden and pool! Grazie tutti

Nice Villa With Awesome Pool In OK Town

Nice old villa with excellent pool, deck and patio area with view to lake in the distance. Location in town was surprising as photos left me with the impression it was in a more rural setting. Private free parking inside gate to property included. Impressive Italian breakfast with a myriad of cakes, cornetti, etc, juice, cappuccino made to order etc. Room could use newer furniture and upgrading...pretty bland but clean. Mattress could be much better... especially in this age of rather inexpensive quality foam mattresses. Good size bathroom and water pressure with ample hot water. Ella Fitgerald playing in lounge off the reception area 24/7. All things considered, a good stay...but the town itself quite disappointing...couldn't find much more than a few pizzeria and bars.

Kleinschalige accommodatie, pittoresk gelegen met prachtig uitzicht op meer. Ontzettend aardige eigenaren en personeel. Zeer servicegericht. Heerlijk ontbeten, volop keuze uit diverse lekkernijen. Ook lunch en diner zeer aan te raden, genuttigd onder bomen in tuin. Het was in 1 woord fantastisch en komen zeker terug. Omgeving veel te zien aan bezienswaardigheden op uurtje rijden van Rome.

Loud and poor service

Unfortunately we had a poor stay at Villa Clodia. There was a loud wedding going on the night of our stay until past midnight. There was poor soundproofing and we were only notified a few days before our visit (without an option to cancel). We have a 7 month old baby, and the baby was unable to sleep because of the noise. When I went to speak to the reception that night, I was told they would try to shut some hallway doors close to midnight but there wasn't much they could do. I also told the reception the shower water was cold and they were defensive and just said that it had nothing to do with the wedding but they would check. Cold water also was rough during shower time for the baby. Breakfast wasn't much to write home about, only pastries and juices. We were struck by the lack of service we received given we told them about these issues. Note we got one of the nicest rooms through hotel.com.

Good hotel, friendly staf, relaxed environment

We got a very warm welcome at vila clodia from all the staf. Breakfast was good with homemade cakes and other sweets, cheese, ham and fruits. We loved the cappuccino and sfogliatelle :) The hotel incl the rooms are well decorated with antique furniture. Manziana is a nice quiet town, not many tourists, friendly people, good atmosphere. Hotel is located close to train station so easy to reach Bracciano and also Rome by public transport. Aircon is a bit old and had a rough time with the warm weather but worked fine for us. Rooms are a bit noisy.

Ho soggiornato assieme al mio ragazzo presso Villa Clodia in occasione del mio compleanno la scorsa settimana e, nonostante fosse stata una sorta di "scelta di ripiego" (samemmo dovuti andare a Venezia), abbiamo gradito molto la location. La struttura è una villa ottocentesca arredata con mobilio d'epoca, camere molto ampie e personale cordialissimo. Situato a Manziana, è a due passi dalle terme di Stigliano e dal lago di Bracciano. Forse più adatto in esrate che in autunno è comunque un posto rilassante per trascorrere un week end lontano dallo stress della città

Romantiskt med förbättringspotential

Vi bodde 4 nätter på Villa Clodia i Junior Suiten. Rummet var stort och välstädat med fin utsikt från balkongen. Frukosten var som alltid i Italien väldigt tråkig och serverades inomhus fastän det står att den ska serveras på terrassen sommartid. Poolområdet är toppen. Tyvärr svårt att få tag på personal under dagtid om man till exempel ska beställa något att äta eller dricka. I och med att hotellet inte har en restaurang är utbudet dåligt och maten som serveras tråkig och dyr. Städningen var si och sådär, under fyra nätter byttes inga sängkläder. AC på rummet fanns men fungerade inte värst bra trots att man gjorde försök att laga den. 26 grader är för varmt att sova i. När man väl fått tag i personalen är de väldigt tillmötesgående och trevliga. De skulle kunna bli bättre på att informera sina gäster om saker som händer på hotellet, en kväll blev tex poolområdet avstängt från kl 18 pga ett event där hotellets gäster inte fick delta.

Sehr schönes Hotel in traumhafter Lage.

Das Einschecken ging sehr schnell. Zimmer hatte Klimaanlage und groß. Das Badezimmer war auch groß und hatte sogar ein Bidet. Wir haben im Hotwl Abends gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden.

great hotel !

We quite enjoyed our very brief stay at the Villa Clodia. I would love to return - use it as an excursion location from Rome. It is easy to reach from the train station. They have a lovely view of the lake and valley. The room was very quaint and well-stocked with things like extra toilet paper etc.

Da der Kaffee (nicht nur für uns) nicht genießbar war, fragten wir nach einem Espresso, da in dem Frühstücksraum ein Automat stand. Als wir einen Zweiten trinken wollten bekamen wir die Antwort, dass das nicht möglich wäre, da dieser zu teuer wäre. Auch andere Äußerungen von Seiten des Personals gefielen uns nicht (die Art und Weise wie etwas gesagt wurde). Terrasse und Pool waren super, ohne Frage, aber das Zimmer war dunkel und etwas stickig. Aus dem Bad kamen schlechte Gerüche (Toilette/ Bidet), die natürlich auch ins Schlafzimmer zogen. Das Hotel hebt sich etwas zu sehr hervor, ist aber vom Service nicht sonderlich zu empfehlen (Schade).
