After the day's adventures, unwind with your favorite shows and movies on the smart TV. Take care of family meal planning in the roomy kitchen equipped with a full suite of stainless steel appliances, including a commercial-size fridge. Keep the home chef company at the breakfast bar set for four and the adjacent dining table sets the tone for family dinners and game nights with seating for a minimum of six guests. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the gadgets and appliances anyone could want. But here is what we had issues with: 1) There was a live animal trapped between the wall downstairs that scratched and clawed, trying to escape the entire time we were there. This disrupted the sleep of one person who stayed on the pull out sofa. They ended up leaving and sleeping somewhere else due to the noise. I emailed with no resolution. Nobody came to inspect or attempt to remove the trapped animal. 2) the blinds in the downstairs bedroom with the queen bed were broken. We had to put towels in the windows for privacy. 3) the downstairs bathroom lighting was very dim and one bulb was burnt out. 4) the downstairs bedroom with twin beds was dark, the tv didn’t work and the sheets smelled of cigarette smoke. The mattresses were also old and squeaky. 5) upstairs, the main bedroom had a floor fan but we couldn’t find the plug. I emailed but didn’t get a response. 5) the ceiling light in the main bedroom’s hallway is burnt out. 6) All the bathrooms have a bad smell that doesn’t go away. 7) the dining chairs need to be reupholstered! 8) the downstairs was so dimly lit that it felt like being in a damp, dark, musty cave. Also, seems like it was decorated in 2003\. In closing, we wouldn’t recommend this house to anyone unless they were only going to stay upstairs. ##### Teresa A. That was the beginning of the trip and we made do, but I still haven’t been contacted by the property management despite multiple calls and texts at this stage. Add to the above there is an ant problem in the house that will never be fixed by the small plastic traps, you may want to get someone to professionally put up an ant barrier, otherwise your future guests will be relaxing and having ants crawl over them whilst they do so. There was a dirty rag in one of the bathrooms when we arrived which I would have typically overlooked, had the other problems not surfaced. Finally we accidentally left a couple of belongings upon late check out (that we paid for despite the issues) and I’ve contacted them several times over the last 5 days to see if I can get the items mailed back - but as expected, I have not heard anything from anyone, even though I would have to imagine cleaners have already been through since last weekend. Short walk to a great beach. Slightly longer walk to Manzanita town center. Nice ocean view. Large kitchen with a dining room table that handled 9 people easily. Great assortment of cooking tools and dishes. Great separation of spaces with kids downstairs with their own tv and a great ping pong table. Slight downsides: Murphy bed was a bit funky -- double bed sized and not too comfortable. It was not made up when we arrived and had no sheets/pillow cases. We found enough in other bedrooms to make it up. No cable TV was a bit problematic as we were there over Thanksgiving with a number college football fans. Fortunately, one of our group had a laptop, HDMI cable, and streaming service. Overall we had a great stay and would stay there again. ##### Doug M. The house was comfortable, the beds were great for the most part but the twin bed mattresses seemed older with less support. The ping pong table and piano were a great bonus and got lots of use. The only complaint was there were not enough towels or toilet paper for 10 people (we did find a few beach towels in the laundry cupboard after a few days). Unfortunate layout with two bedrooms downstairs. Extra guest room upstairs had a glass door which wasn't soundproof. Poorly stocked. No beach towels. No beach toys. No cooking oil, spices or condiments. Only one roll of paper towels for two families for 4 days. Considering the price I would expect more. ##### Tami S.
