Welcome to Jungle Roost! Enjoy your morning coffee on the wraparound deck, watching monkeys foraging and making their way across the treetops. This 2,500 ft2 home has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and is fully and comfortably furnished. It has floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views designed to bring the outside into the open and welcoming interior. This unique home's architectural design includes numerous sliding glass doors that open to allow breezes through the house. There are ceiling fans and AC throughout the house. The ground level has ample parking, and a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. The main level includes a spacious great room, fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar/island, deck surrounding the living area, and bathroom. Also, you can admire the wide outdoor space and jungle garden as a little piece of paradise from over 2,000 ft2 pool deck. The deck is partially covered by a large gazebo, organized with a dining table, and sun lounges. Enjoy your outdoor jungle life while using the outdoor grill kitchen, serviced with an extra half-bathroom and a hidden shower. Indulge yourself in the gorgeous 10-meter swimming pool featured with a lovely waterfall. Walk up one level to the expansive master bedroom with two queen-sized beds, sliding doors to the wraparound deck, and massive windows for unobstructed views of the canopy wildlife. This level also has a full bathroom. Walk up to another level to the fourth floor where there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms with king-size beds and a full bathroom. Both bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on two walls providing access to the wraparound deck where there is a large outdoor chesterfield for quiet reading or siestas. Don’t be surprised if a monkey (or 10!) sneaks past. Stay still, and they will amble by looking to jump from the balcony to the nearest tree. You will be tempted to feed them, but please refrain – there is plenty of healthy food in the jungle. The nearby beach is gorgeous and quiet (half a mile - 10/15 minutes walking distance). If you are in the mood for more people, funky bars, good restaurants, surf schools, groceries parasailing and fun shopping, just stroll 15 or 20 minutes along the white sand to Manuel Antonio. We follow the COVID-19 heath and safety protocols, and we have two different COVID testing facilities within 10 minutes of the house. The location is perfect for walking to Manual Antonio shops (it is uphill), the pool was wonderful, and the house had absolutely everything we needed (no need to buy toilet paper, trash bags, soap, or anything like that). The hosts are amazing. They will reach out to help you plan activities and give you honest advice about what to do, where to eat, where you need a guide, etc. Their recommendations were spot on for everything. Wildlife views of monkeys, birds, and even a sloth, which was a highlight.The host went above and beyond, not just to make sure we were comfortable in the home but also to ensure that we had the best vacation. He gave excellent recommendations for dining and excursions, and assisted in arranging transportation to and from Manuel Antonio. The only negative is that my family was sad that our stay at Jungle Roost has ended. We saw monkeys, sloths, agoutis, coatis, and iguanas daily on the property. The kids had a blast in the pool and we loved the secluded beach nearby. Though 5 min from the hotspots of MA, this house is on a steep and secluded jungle road. A 4x4 definitely recommended, if not required. The house is better than the photos. The location is perfect for a beautiful beach, jungle vacation. The access to restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, yoga studio was perfect. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Beds were very comfortable and large. The house and pool area was very private and an amazing vantage point for wildlife. We sat in the pool and watched a sloth in a tree and monkey's swing in the trees and the yard. You do have to be able to go up stairs and walk uphill to get to the beaches and the businesses, but that was a good counterbalance to the food and drink we consumed. Ismael was a wonderful host. All his recommendations were spot on. We ended up hanging at the house and walking to the close beach for most of the vacation. We had planned on driving to different locations, but it was so beautiful and peaceful there, we just stayed. The park was great, but we saw more wildlife from our back yard. Stop scrolling, this is it. The house is in great condition and the grounds are stunning. We saw all the wildlife we came to see in Costa Rica sitting in the backyard.. monkeys, toucans, and even capybara-looking animals. The host, Ismael, was absolutely incredible. We had a couple snags in our travel plans getting down there (airplane delays) and Ismael handled re-arranging our car rental and other things we had planned. I have never had better service at a VRBO. I would absolutely stay here again! And get a 4x4, all wheel drive rental-you’ll need it in this area. ##### Calle M. The main reason was because of the fabulous house and host. Ismael went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. He answered all of our questions, helped arrange excursions (and rearrange them when we wanted to do something different). He greeted us at the house upon arrival to show us around. Beyond that, he was consistently available by phone to answer any questions we had and to give recommendations for activities/dinners/etc. The house was beautiful! The outdoor area amazing and very roomy. We enjoyed swimming in the pool each afternoon and exploring the garden area. We also saw three types of monkeys from our patio (including daily visits from adorable squirrel monkeys). We also saw agoutis and a variety of birds each day. The house felt very secluded and private, but it was actually very close to town. Walkable to the beach and many area restaurants. The house included all the accommodations we could need. We were in awe of the surroundings and wildlife- monkeys, sloth, and other creatures. The property mgr, Ismael, was extremely helpful and available to assist. He offered great tips and insight to the area. He even secured a private dance lesson and yoga at our request. We definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive.
