"My partner and I stayed here for Memorial Day Weekend 2026. Pros: - Friendly and attentive staff. - Free self parking - Location (walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops). - Surprisingly comfortable bed. - Clean rooms. Cons: - Noisy air conditioner. It rattled and clicked when it would start from its idle state. It woke me up twice each night and I've dealt with loud ACs but this one was something else. 😵‍💫 - Redundant check-in process. I completed the registration card online prior to physically checking-in. I uploaded my ID, a selfie and entered my credit card information only to be asked for all of these items when I physically check-in. It's not a big deal but what is the purpose to submit everything online if they're going to ask for these things at the time of check-in? - Late check-out. When checking-in, I was told that I would be eligible for a complimentary 1:00 p.m. late check out due my "VIP" status with Orbitz IF the hotel had availability. On the morning of checkout, I received a text stating that I would be eligible for a late checkout of 5:00 p.m. for a $75 fee. I was not interested in that but I asked about my complimentary checkout and they told me the most they could do is give me a 30-minute additional checkout time for 11:30 a.m. Again, not a big deal but this was inconsistent to what I was told at check-in. All things considered, including price and location, our experience was fine and would stay here again for 1 or 2 nights max."

"The place was ok. It was a bit run down. The king size bed turned out to be a queen. The hot and cold spigot was reversed and it burned me. Three of the five lights in the room didn’t work. The bathtub stopper didn’t work. The food was so so…nothing to write home about. Also worth mentioning is that they use plastics when you order room service…not sustainable or environmentally conscious. The pool however was absolutely fantastic. Deep and saltwater. Excellent."

"great place to bring pets - poolside cabin with decks helped a lo t for little dog. Cabin showers are def too small for larger guests but overall cabin was very nicely stocked, clean and very comfortable. Very nice walking paths and the Peaks restaurant (yummy!) is awesome. Vey much loved this place (we live in Ranch Mirage) will DEFINATELY stay here again soon. Pool was very clean, could be heated/warmed a bit more after chilly May nights. Awesome fire pits! -- overall scene vibe was a BIG thumbs up. Will only stay here in Idyllwyld - no place can compare."

Miracle Springs Resort & Spa

"Impressively bad stay, booked last minute for Memorial Day weekend and had low expectations, but, man they couldn't even meet those. We were greeted by a drunk guest telling us why he hated his marriage then waited a half hour to check in, we were second in line. Smoking and drinking at the filthy main pool mid afternoon with everyone playing their own music super loud. Bartender said they'd been may lose their liquor license if their pool is busted again for outside alcohol. The Merlot was pretty good. Pools were not cared for, missing concrete, standing fetid water all over the place. Ice machine and water station too filthy to use. Room 157 had a view of their chaotic repair trailers, a leak above the shower, only very hot water in shower and pillow cases made of sand paper. I wouldn't put bare feet on the carpet. Clientele seem to think it's spring break, even the 5 who paid for dinner and a show with the "Cher". Do not have your worst enemy stay here... They can do better. There's a "sister" property next door that looks even worse. Beware."

Riviera Resort Palm Springs

"I used to love this resort! It has completely gone downhill. Our room had a leaky faucet and little bugs in the bathroom. It took over 24 hours for maintenance to come out. Housekeeping never cleaned our room. I had to contact them several times for fresh towels, toilet paper, body wash, etc. I had to personally empty our trash cans as they were filling up. On Saturday the main pool was completely closed to guest for a private event. The smaller pool was open, but it was packed trash everywhere. No pool towels no staff. The restaurant used to be delicious. Now the menu is limited and makes no sense. I’m not sure if this resort is closing, but it sure felt like it. They’re grabbing go café was very limited as well. I needed milk and the entire property was sold out. Crazy?! They are understaffed overworked, and checked out. We will not go back."
