Jan 1, 2016 #### Easy living in a good location We have stayed in El Carmen Flat twice and can warmly recommend it. It is conveniently furnished for two persons and can also accept a sudden guest in the livingroom. Kichen, shower/tub and heating are standard, although you must pay separately for energy you use. Its greatest asset, though, is its location. The flat is situated just around the corner from the end station of the Malaga Airport train. The shopping area, beach and the Old City are only a few minutes' walk away, each to a different direction. First one is the communication, I had trouble twice communicating with the owner. Ultimately it worked out fine, but it should not be like that. It should be so much better.And second and this is a big one…air conditioner. Yes, there is air conditioner in the unit but only in the living room, so in order to get it inside the bedroom you had to leave the door opened. Plus for the air conditioner, I had to pay for it separate!!! It was 1 euro for every 3 hours, and it work by putting coins into a machine!!! Yes, a machine. So I had to scramble to get coins to operate the air conditioner. Another thing, I couldn’t control the temperature, just on/off. I went during the summer so it was imperative to use the air conditioner all the time, as temperatures get really hot in Malaga. It was something that I didn’t plan had to do.
